Shabbat Shalom Loved One! (Fear not man- fear YHWH!)
(Pro 3:5) Trust in יהוה with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding…
Last week we had some abrupt reminders of reality approaching our planet. This should be a
sobering and awakening blast of the Trumpet to make ourselves ready. We talked about Rick Wiles’ radio
message and Avi Ben Mordechai’s warning Something Wicked This Way Comes; and our study last week
which we will shortly review. Then unraveling before our eyes was Hamas sending terrorists against Israel
via a flotilla of “peace and safety” (sudden destruction) to turn world opinion against Israel and YHWH’s
land that He placed His name upon.
This will escalate drastically if I heard properly and have warned you now for months and months: things
will get serious for our world’s fiat economy through this summer culminating with civil unrest and most
likely with rockets flying by the Feast of Trumpets, in the fall of 2010! Be not hopeless though, do
understand our King desires your attention and presence. (Pro 3:1) My sons, do not forget my Torah, and
let your heart watch over my commands; (Pro 3:2) length of days and long life and peace they add to you.
(Pro 3:3) Let not kindness and truths forsake you – bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of
your heart, (Pro 3:4) thus finding favor and good insight in the eyes of Elohim and man. (Pro 3:5) Trust in
יהוה with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; (Pro 3:6) know Him in all your ways, and
He makes all your paths straight. (Pro 3:7) Do not be wise in your own eyes1; fear יהוה and turn away from

(Num 8:12) “And the Lĕwites shall lay their hands on the heads of the young bulls. And one shall be
prepared as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering to יהוה, to make atonement for the Lĕwites.
(Num 8:13) “And you shall have the Lĕwites stand before Aharon and his sons, and then wave them, a
wave offering to יהוה. (Num 8:14) “Thus you shall separate the Lĕwites from among the children of Yisra’ĕl,
and the Lĕwites shall be mine. (Num 8:15) “Then after that the Lĕwites shall go in to do service in the Tent
of Meeting, when you have cleansed them and waved them as a wave offering. (Num 8:16) “They are given
ones, given to me from among the children of Yisra’ĕl. I have taken them for myself instead of all who open
the womb, the first-born of all the children of Yisra’ĕl. (Num 8:17) “For all the first-born among the children
of Yisra’ĕl are mine, both man and beast. On the day that I smote all the first-born in the land of Mitsrayim I
set them apart unto myself. (Num 8:18) “And I have taken the Lĕwites instead of all the first-born of the
children of Yisra’ĕl.
We will need to seek His face and be moved into action by His words as we listen:
Num 9:1 And יהוה spoke to Mosheh in the Wilderness of Sinai, in the first month of the second year after
they had come out of the land of Mitsrayim, saying, Num 9:2 “Now, let the children of Yisra’ĕl perform the
Passover at its appointed time; Num 9:3 on the fourteenth day of this month between the
evenings, perform it at its appointed time. According to all its laws and right-rulings you perform it.” Num 9:
4 And Mosheh spoke to the children of Yisra’ĕl to perform the Passover; Num 9:5 so they performed the
Passover on the fourteenth day of the first month, between the evenings, in the Wilderness of Sinai.
According to all that יהוה commanded Mosheh, so the children of Yisra’ĕl did.
We MUST Stay in His Presence- to depart will bring certain death and the end of
our testimony and producing His precious fruit on the Earth
Num 9:15 and on the day that the Dwelling Place was raised up, the cloud covered the Dwelling Place, the
Tent of the Witness. From evening until morning it was above the Dwelling Place like the appearance
of fire. Num 9:16 thus it was continually: the cloud covered it by day, and the appearance of fire by night.
Num 9:17 and whenever the cloud was taken up from above the Tent, after that the children of Yisra’ĕl
would depart. And in the place where the cloud dwelt, there the children of Yisra’ĕl would camp. Num 9:18
at the command of יהוה the children of Yisra’ĕl departed, and at the command of יהוה they camped. They
remained camped as long as the cloud dwelt above the Dwelling Place. Num 9:19 Even when the cloud
lingered many days above the Dwelling Place, the children of Yisra’ĕl guarded the Charge of יהוה, and did
not depart.
Num 9:20 and so it was, when the cloud was above the Dwelling Place a few days: according to the
command of יהוה they camped, and according to the command of יהוה they would depart. Num 9:21 and so
it was, when the cloud dwelt only from evening until morning: when the cloud was taken up in the morning,
then they departed. Whether by day or by night, whenever the cloud was taken up, they departed. Num 9:22
whether two days, or a month, or a year that the cloud lingered above the Dwelling Place to dwell upon it,
the children of Yisra’ĕl camped, and did not depart. But when it was taken up, they departed. Num 9:23 at
the command of יהוה they camped, and at the command of יהוה they departed. They guarded the Charge of
יהוה, at the command of יהוה by the hand of Mosheh. (Comment: I expect we will also have a cloud by day
and a fire by night during our so journeying during the approaching Days of Jacob’s Trouble as our
Deliverer will do mighty acts on our behalf!)
We will need the Presence of YHWH for our enemies to scattered!
And the Ark of the Covenant of יהוה went before them for the three days’ journey, to seek out a resting place
for them. (Num 10:34) And the cloud of יהוה was above them by day when they went out from the camp.
(Num 10:35) And it came to be, whenever the ark set out, that Mosheh said, “Rise up, O יהוה! And let your
enemies be scattered, and let those who hate you flee before you.” (Num 10:36) And when it rested, he
said, “Return, O יהוה, to the countless thousands of Yisra’ĕl.”
Let’s learn from their murmuring and NOT DO IT! No whining and complaining.
(Num 11:1) And it came to be, when the people were as complainers, it was evil in the ears
of יהוה. And יהוה heard it, and His displeasure burned. And the fire of יהוה burned among them, and
consumed those in the outskirts of the camp. (Num 11:2) And the people cried out to Mosheh, and
Mosheh prayed to יהוה, and the fire died down. (Num 11:3) Then he called the name of the place Taḇʽĕrah,
because the fire of יהוה had burned among them.
TRY THIS! Here’s how we, having made Messiah Yahshua our Master, get YHWH’s presence (ARK) and
our enemies will be scattered- Worship our Creator!
(Psa 100:1) Raise a shout for יהוה, all the earth! (Psa 100:2) Serve יהוה with gladness; Come before His
presence with singing. (Psa 100:3) Know that יהוה, He is Elohim; He has made us, and we are His – His
people and the sheep of His pasture. (Psa 100:4) Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His
courts with praise. Give thanks to Him; bless His Name. (Psa 100:5) For יהוה is good; His kindness is
everlasting, And His truth, to all generations.

Spy out the land!
(Num 13:1) And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying, (Num 13:2) “Send men to spy out the land of Kenaʽan,
which I am giving to the children of Yisra’ĕl. Send one man from each tribe of their fathers, everyone a
leader among them.” (Num 13:3) And by the command of יהוה Mosheh sent them from the Wilderness of
Paran, all of them men who were heads of the children of Yisra’ĕl. (Num 13:4) And these were their
names. From the tribe of Re’uḇĕn: Shammua, son of Zakkur. (Num 13:5) From the tribe of Shimʽon:
Shaphat, son of Ḥori. (Num 13:6) From the tribe of Yehuḏah: Kalĕḇ, son of Yephunneh. (Num 13:7) From
the tribe of Yissasḵar: Yiḡ’al, son of Yosĕph. (Num 13:8) From the tribe of Ephrayim: Hoshĕa, son of Nun.
(Num 13:9) From the tribe of Binyamin: Palti, son of Raphu. (Num 13:10) From the tribe of Zeḇulun: Gaddi’
ĕl, son of Soḏi. (Num 13:11) from the tribe of Yosĕph, from the tribe of Menashsheh: Gaddi, son of Susi.
(Num 13:12)
From the tribe of Dan: Ammi’ĕl, son of Gemalli. (Num 13:13) From the tribe of Ashĕr: Shĕthur, son of Miḵa’
ĕl. (Num 13:14) From the tribe of Naphtali: Naḥbi, son of Wophsi. (Num 13:15) From the tribe of Gaḏ: Geu’
ĕl, son of Maḵi. (Num 13:16) these are the names of the men whom Mosheh sent to spy out the land. And
Mosheh called Hoshĕa the son of Nun, Yehoshua. (Num 13:17) And Mosheh sent them to spy out the land
of Kenaʽan, and said to them, “Go up here into the South, and go up to the mountains, (Num 13:18) and
see what the land is like, and the people who dwell in it, whether strong or weak, whether few or many,
(Num 13:19) and whether the land they dwell in is good or evil, whether the cities they inhabit are in camps
or strongholds, (Num 13:20) and whether the land is rich or poor, and whether there are forests there or
not. And you shall be strong, and bring some of the fruit of the land.” Now the time was the season of the
first-fruits of grapes. (Num 13:21)
So they went up and spied out the land from the Wilderness of Tsin as far as Reḥoḇ, near the entrance of
Ḥamath. (Num 13:22) And they went up through the South and came to Ḥeḇron. And Aḥiman,
Shĕshai, and Talmai, the descendants of Anaq, were there. Now Ḥeḇron had been built seven years
before Tsoʽan in Mitsrayim. (Num 13:23) And they came to the wadi Eshkol, and cut down from there a
branch with one cluster of grapes. And they bore it between two of them on a pole, also of the
pomegranates and of the figs. (Num 13:24) That place was called the wadi Eshkol, because of the cluster
which the men of Yisra’ĕl cut down from there. (Num 13:25) And they returned from spying out the land
after forty days. (Num 13:26) And they went and came to Mosheh and Aharon and all the congregation of
the children of Yisra’ĕl in the Wilderness of Paran, at Qaḏĕsh. And they brought back word to them and to
the entire congregation, and showed them the fruit of the land.
Speak YHWH’s words and receive your promise…or PERISH!
(Num 13:27) And they reported to him, and said, “We went to the land where you sent us. And truly, it flows
with milk and honey, and this is its fruit. (Num 13:28) “But the people who dwell in the land are strong, and
the cities are walled, very great. And we saw the descendants of Anaq there too. (Num 13:29) “The
Amalĕqites dwell in the land of the South, while the Ḥittites and the Yeḇusites and the Amorites dwell in the
mountains. And the Kenaʽanites dwell by the sea and along the banks of the Yardĕn.” (Num 13:30) And
Kalĕḇ silenced the people before Mosheh, and said, “Let us go up at once and take possession, for
we are certainly able to overcome it.”
When we are faced with wicked facts- whose report will we believe? Choose well!
(Num 13:31) But the men who had gone up with him said, “We are not able to go up against the
people, for they are stronger than we.” (Num 13:32) And they gave the children of Yisra’ĕl an evil report of
the land which they had spied out, saying, “The land through which we have gone as spies is a land eating
up its inhabitants, and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great size. (Num 13:33) “And we saw
there the Nephilim, sons of Anaq, of the Nephilim. And we were like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and so
we were in their eyes.” (Num 14:1)
Then all the congregation lifted up their voices and cried, and the people wept that night. (Num 14:2) And
all the children of Yisra’ĕl grumbled against Mosheh and against Aharon, and all the congregation said to
them, “If only we had died in the land of Mitsrayim! Or if only we had died in this wilderness! (Num 14:3)
“And why is יהוה bringing us to this land to fall by the sword, that our wives and children should become a
prey? Would it not be better for us to turn back to Mitsrayim?” (Num 14:4) And they said to each other, “Let
us appoint a leader, and let us turn back to Mitsrayim.” (Num 14:5) Then Mosheh and Aharon fell on their
faces before all the assembly of the congregation of the children of Yisra’ĕl. (Num 14:6) And
Yehoshua son of Nun, and Kalĕḇ son of Yephunneh, who were among those who had spied out the land,
tore their garments, (Num 14:7) and they spoke to all the congregation of the children of Yisra’ĕl, saying,
“The land we passed through to spy out is an exceedingly good land. (Num 14:8) “If יהוה has delighted in
us, then He shall bring us into this land and give it to us, ‘a land which is flowing with milk and honey.’
(Num 14:9)
“Only, do not rebel against יהוה, nor fear the people of the land, for they are our bread. Their defence has
turned away from them, and יהוה is with us. Do not fear them.” (Num 14:10) But the entire congregation
said to stone them with stones. Then the esteem (glory) of יהוה appeared in the Tent of Meeting before all
the children of Yisra’ĕl. (Num 14:11) And יהוה said to Mosheh, “How long shall I be scorned by these
people? And how long shall I not be trusted by them, with all the signs which I have done in their midst?
(Num 14:12) “Let me smite them with the pestilence and disinherit them, and make of you a nation greater
and mightier than they.” (Num 14:13) And Mosheh said to יהוה, “then the Mitsrites shall hear it, for by your
power you brought these people up from their midst, (Num 14:14) and they shall say to the inhabitants of
this land they have heard that you, יהוה, are in the midst of these people, that you, יהוה, are seen eye to eye
and that your cloud stands above them, and you go before them in a column of cloud by day and in a
column of fire by night. (Num 14:15)
“Now if you shall kill these people as one man, then the nations which have heard of your report shall
speak, saying, (Num 14:16) ‘Because יהוה was not able to bring this people to the land which He swore to
give them, therefore He killed them in the wilderness.’ (Num 14:17) “And now, I pray, let the power of יהוה
be great, as you have spoken, saying, (Num 14:18) ‘יהוה is patient and of great kindness, forgiving
crookedness and transgression, but by no means leaving unpunished1; visiting the crookedness of the
fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation.’ Footnote: 1This is confirmed in Ex. 34:7 and in
Jer. 30:11. (Num 14:19) “Please forgive the crookedness of this people, according to the greatness of your
kindness, as you have forgiven this people, from Mitsrayim even until now.” (Num 14:20)
And יהוה said, “I shall forgive, according to your word, (Num 14:21) but truly, as I live and all the earth is
filled with the esteem of יהוה, (Num 14:22) for none of these men who have seen my esteem and the signs
which I did in Mitsrayim and in the wilderness, and have tried me now these ten times, and have disobeyed
my voice, (Num 14:23) shall see the land of which I swore to their fathers, nor any of those who scorned
me see it. (Num 14:24) “But my servant Kalĕḇ, because he has a different spirit in him and has followed
me completely, I shall bring into the land where he went, and his seed shall inherit it. (Num 14:25) “Since
the Amalĕqites and the Kenaʽanites are dwelling in the valley, turn back tomorrow and set out into the
wilderness by the Way of the Red Sea.”
DO NOT SPEAK FACTS IF THEY DISAGREE WITH YHWH! It is an evil report!
(Num 14:26) And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, and to Aharon, saying, (Num 14:27) “How long shall this evil
congregation have this grumbling against me? I have heard the grumblings which the children of Yisra’ĕl
are grumbling against me. (Num 14:28) “Say to them, ‘As I live,’ declares יהוה, ‘as you have spoken in My
hearing, so I do to you: (Num 14:29) ‘The carcasses of you who have grumbled against me are going
to fall in this wilderness, all of you who were registered, according to your entire number, from twenty years
old and above. (Num 14:30) ‘None of you except Kalĕḇ son of Yephunneh, and Yehoshua son of
Nun, shall enter the land which I swore I would make you dwell in. (Num 14:31) ‘But your little ones, whom
you said would become a prey, I shall bring in, and they shall know the land which you have rejected. (Num
14:32) ‘But as for you, your carcasses are going to fall in this wilderness. (Num 14:33) ‘And your sons
shall be wanderers in the wilderness forty years, and shall bear your whorings, until your carcasses are
consumed in the wilderness. (Num 14:34) ‘According to the number of the days in which you spied out the
land, forty days – a day for a year, a day for a year – you are to bear your crookednesses forty years, and you
shall know my breaking off. (Num 14:35)
‘I am יהוה, I have spoken, I shall do this to all this evil congregation who are meeting against me: In this
wilderness they are consumed, and there they die.’ ” (Num 14:36) And the men whom Mosheh sent to spy
out the land, who returned and made all the congregation grumble against him by bringing an evil report of
the land, (Num 14:37) even those men who brought the evil report about the land, died by the plague
before יהוה. (Num 14:38) Of those men who went to spy out the land, only Yehoshua son of Nun,
and Kalĕḇ son of Yephunneh remained alive. (Num 14:39)
And when Mosheh spoke these words to all the children of Yisra’ĕl, the people mourned greatly. (Num 14:
40) And they rose up early in the morning and went up to the top of the mountain, saying, “See, we have
indeed sinned, but we shall go up to the place which יהוה had spoken of!” (Num 14:41) But Mosheh said,
“Why do you now transgress the command of יהוה, since it does not prosper? (Num 14:42) “Do not go up,
lest you be smitten by your enemies, for יהוה is not in your midst. (Num 14:43) “Because the Amalĕqites
and the Kenaʽanites are there before you, and you shall fall by the sword. Because you have turned away
from יהוה, יהוה is not with you.” (Num 14:44)
But they presumed to go up to the mountaintop, but neither the ark of the covenant of יהוה nor Mosheh left
the camp. (Num 14:45) So the Amalĕqites and the Kenaʽanites who dwelt in that mountain came down
and smote them, and beat them down, even to Ḥormah. (Num 15:1) And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying,
(Num 15:2) “Speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, and say to them, ‘When you have come into the land of your
dwellings, which I am giving you, (Num 15:3) and you make an offering by fire to יהוה, a burnt offering or a
slaughtering, to accomplish a vow or as a voluntary offering or in your appointed times, to make a sweet
fragrance to יהוה, from the herd or the flock, (Num 15:4) then he who brings near his offering to הוה shall
bring near a grain offering of one-tenth of an ĕphah of fine flour mixed with one-fourth of a hin of oil, (Num
15:5) and one-fourth of a hin of wine as a drink offering you prepare with the burnt offering or the
slaughtering, for each lamb. (Num 15:6) ‘Or for a ram you prepare as a grain offering two-tenths of an
ĕphah of fine flour mixed with one-third of a hin of oil, (Num 15:7) and as a drink offering you bring
one-third of a hin of wine as a sweet fragrance to יהוה. (Num 15:8) ‘And when you prepare a young bull as
a burnt offering, or as a slaughtering to accomplish a vow, or as a peace offering to יהוה, (Num 15:9) then
shall be brought with the young bull a grain offering of three-tenths of an ĕphah of fine flour mixed with half
a hin of oil, (Num 15:10) and bring as the drink offering half a hin of wine as an offering made by fire, a
sweet fragrance to יהוה. (Num 15:11)
‘This is what is done for each young bull, for each ram, or for each lamb or young goat. (Num 15:12)
‘According to the number that you prepare, so you do for each one according to their number. (Num 15:13)
‘Let all who are native do so with them, in bringing near an offering made by fire, a sweet fragrance to יהוה.
(Num 15:14) ‘And when a stranger sojourns with you, or whoever is among you throughout your
generations, and would make an offering made by fire, a sweet fragrance to יהוה, as you do, so he does.
(Num 15:15) ‘One law is for you of the assembly and for the stranger who sojourns with you – a
law forever throughout your generations. As you are, so is the stranger before יהוה. (Num 15:16) ‘One
Torah and one right-ruling is for you and for the stranger who sojourns with you.’ ” (Num 15:17) And יהוה
spoke to Mosheh, saying, (Num 15:18)
“Speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, and say to them, ‘When you come into the land to which I bring you, (Num
15:19) then it shall be, when you eat of the bread of the land, that you present a contribution to יהוה. (Num
15:20) ‘Present a cake of the first of your dough as a contribution – as a contribution of the threshing-floor
you present it. (Num 15:21) ‘Of the first of your dough you are to give to יהוה a contribution throughout your
generations. (Num 15:22) ‘And when you sin by mistake, and do not do all these commands which יהוה
has spoken to Mosheh, (Num 15:23) all that יהוה has commanded you by the hand of Mosheh, from the
day יהוה gave command and onward throughout your generations, (Num 15:24) then it shall be, if it is done
by mistake, without the knowledge of the congregation, that all the congregation shall prepare one young
bull as a burnt offering, as a sweet fragrance to יהוה, with its grain offering and its drink offering, according
to the right-ruling, and one male goat as a sin offering. (Num 15:25)
‘Then the priest shall make atonement for all the congregation of the children of Yisra’ĕl, and it shall be
forgiven them, for it was by mistake. And they shall bring their offering, an offering made by fire to יהוה, and
their sin offering before יהוה, for their mistake. (Num 15:26) ‘And it shall be forgiven all the congregation of
the children of Yisra’ĕl and the stranger who sojourns in their midst, because all the people did it by
mistake. (Num 15:27) ‘And if a being sins by mistake, then he shall bring a female goat a year old as a sin
offering. (Num 15:28) ‘And the priest shall make atonement for the being who strays by mistake, when he
sins by mistake before יהוה, to make atonement for him, and it shall be forgiven him. (Num 15:29) ‘For him
who does whatever by mistake there is one Torah, both for him who is native among the children of
Yisra’ĕl and for the stranger who sojourns in their midst. (Num 15:30)
‘But the being that does whatever defiantly, whether he is native or a stranger, he reviles יהוה, and
that being shall be cut off from among his people. (Num 15:31) ‘Because he has despised the word of
יהוה, and has broken His command, that being shall certainly be cut off, his crookedness is upon him.’ ”
(Num 15:32) And while the children of Yisra’ĕls were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering sticks
on the Sabbath day. (Num 15:33) And those who found him gathering sticks brought him to Mosheh and
to Aharon, and to the entire congregation. (Num 15:34) And they put him in under guard, because it had
not been declared what should be done to him. (Num 15:35) And יהוה said to Mosheh, “The man shall
certainly be put to death, all the congregation stoning him with stones outside the camp.” (Num 15:36) And
the entire congregation brought him outside the camp and stoned him with stones, as יהוה commanded
Mosheh, and he died. (Num 15:37) And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying, (Num 15:38) “Speak to the children
of Yisra’ĕl, and you shall say to them to make tzitziyot1 on the corners of their garments throughout their
generations, and to put a blue cord in the tzitzit1 of the corners. Footnote: 1See Explanatory notes - “Tzitzit” -
plural Tzitziyot. (Num 15:39) “And it shall be to you for a tzitzit, and you shall see it, and shall remember all
the commands of יהוה and shall do them, and not search after your own heart and your own eyes after
which you went whoring, (Num 15:40) so that you remember, and shall do all my commands, and be set-
apart unto your Elohim. (Num 15:41) “I am יהוה your Elohim, who brought you out of the land of Mitsrayim,
to be your Elohim. I am יהוה your Elohim.”
Note: Joshua just sent 2 spies as perhaps 10 were disqualified by speaking evil!
(Jos 2:1) And Yehoshua son of Nun secretly sent out two men from Shittim to spy, saying, “Go, see the
land, and Yeriḥo.” And they went, and came to the house of a woman, a whore, and her name was Raḥaḇ,
and they lay down there. (Jos 2:2) But it was reported to the sovereign of Yeriḥo, saying, “See, men
from the children of Yisra’ĕl have come here tonight to search out the land.” (Jos 2:3) And the sovereign of
Yeriḥo sent to Raḥaḇ, saying, “Bring out the men who have come to you, who have entered your house, for
they have come to search out all the land.” (Jos 2:4) But the woman had taken the two men and hid them.
So she said, “The men came to me, but I did not know where they were from. (Jos 2:5) “Then it came to be
as the gate was being shut, when it was dark that the men went out. I do not know where the men went.
Pursue them quickly, so that you overtake them.” (Jos 2:6) But she had brought them up to the roof and
hidden them with the stalks of flax, which she had laid out on the roof. (Jos 2:7) And the men
pursued them by the way to the Yardĕn, to the fords.
And they shut the gate afterwards as soon as the pursuers had gone out. (Jos 2:8) And before they lay
down, she came up to them on the roof, (Jos 2:9) and she said to the men, “I know that יהוה has given you
the land, and that the fear of you has fallen on us, and that all the inhabitants of the land melt
away because of you. (Jos 2:10) “For we have heard how יהוה dried up the water of the Sea of Reeds for
you when you came out of Mitsrayim, and what you did to the two sovereigns of the Amorites who were
beyond the Yardĕn, Siḥon and Oḡ, whom you put under the ban. (Jos 2:11) “And when we heard, our
hearts melted, and there was no spirit left in anyone because of you, for יהוה your Elohim, He is Elohim in
the heavens above and on earth beneath. (Jos 2:12)
“And now, please swear to me by יהוה, since I have shown you kindness, that you also show kindness to
my father’s house, and shall give me a true token, (Jos 2:13) and shall spare my father, and my mother,
and my brothers, and my sisters, and all that they have, and shall deliver our lives from death.” (Jos 2:14)
And the men said to her, “Our lives for yours, if you do not expose this matter of ours, then it shall be, when
יהוה has given us the land, that we shall treat you in kindness and truth.” (Jos 2:15) So she let them down
by a rope through the window, for her house was on the city wall and she dwelt on the wall. (Jos 2:16) And
she said to them, “Go to the mountain, lest the pursuers come upon you. And you shall hide there for three
days, until the pursuers have returned, and afterwards go on your way.” (Jos 2:17) And the men said
to her, “We are released from this oath of yours which you have made us swear, (Jos 2:18) unless, when
we come into the land, you bind this line of scarlet cord in the window through which you let us down, and
unless you bring your father, and your mother, and your brothers, and all your father’s household to your
own home. (Jos 2:19)
“And it shall be that anyone who goes outside the doors of your house into the street, his blood is on his
own head, and we are innocent. And anyone who is with you in the house, his blood is on our head if a
hand is laid on him. (Jos 2:20) “And if you expose this matter of ours, then we shall be released from your
oath which you made us swear.” (Jos 2:21) And she said, “Let it be according to your words.” And she sent
them away, and they went. She bound the scarlet cord in the window. (Jos 2:22) So they left and came to
the mountain, and stayed there three days until the pursuers returned. And the pursuers sought them in all
the way, but did not find them. (Jos 2:23) Then the two men returned and came down from the mountain,
and passed over. And they came to Yehoshua son of Nun, and related to him all that had befallen them.
(Jos 2:24) And they said to Yehoshua, “Truly יהוה has given all the land into our hands, and also, all the
inhabitants of the land have melted away because of us.”

(2Sa 22:1) Then Dawiḏ spoke to יהוה the words of this song, on the day when יהוה had delivered him from
the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Sha’ul. (2Sa 22:2) And he said, “יהוה is my rock and my
stronghold and my deliverer. (2Sa 22:3) “My Elohim is my rock; I take refuge in Him, my shield and
the horn of my deliverance, my high tower and my refuge. My Savior, you save me from violence. (2Sa 22:4)
“I call on יהוה, the One to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies. (2Sa 22:5) “For the waves of death
surrounded me, floods of Beliyaʽal made me afraid, (2Sa 22:6) “The cords of the grave were all around me;
the snares of death were before me. (2Sa 22:7)
“In my distress I called upon יהוה, and to my Elohim I cried. And from His Hĕḵal He heard my voice, and my
cry was in His ears. (2Sa 22:8) “And the earth shook and trembled, the foundations of the heavens were
troubled, Because He was wroth. (2Sa 22:9) “Smoke went up from His nostrils, and devouring fire
from His mouth; coals were kindled by it. (2Sa 22:10) “And He bowed the heavens and came down, and
thick darkness was under His feet. (2Sa 22:11) “And He rode upon a keruḇ, and flew, and was seen upon
the wings of the wind. (2Sa 22:12) “And He put darkness around Him as booths, darkness of waters, thick
clouds. (2Sa 22:13) “From the brightness before Him coals of fire were kindled. (2Sa 22:14) “יהוה
thundered from the heavens, and the Most High sent forth His voice. (2Sa 22:15) “And He sent out arrows
and scattered them, Lightning, and confused them. (2Sa 22:16) “And the channels of the sea were seen,
the foundations of the world were uncovered at the rebuke of יהוה, at the blast of the breath of His nostrils.
(2Sa 22:17) “He sent from above, He took me, He drew me out of many waters. (2Sa 22:18) “He delivered
me from my strong enemy, from those hating me, for they were stronger than I. (2Sa 22:19)
“They confronted me in the day of my calamity, but יהוה was my support. (2Sa 22:20) “And He brought me
out into a large place; He delivered me for He delighted in me. (2Sa 22:21) “יהוה rewarded me according to
my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands He repaid me. (2Sa 22:22) “For I
have guarded the ways of יהוה, and have not acted wrongly against my Elohim. (2Sa 22:23) “For all His
right-rulings are before me; As for His laws, I do not turn from them. (2Sa 22:24) “And I am perfect before
Him, and I guard myself from my crookedness. (2Sa 22:25) “And you show yourself perfect, (2Sa 22:27)
“With the clean you show yourself clean, and with the crooked you show yourself twisted. (2Sa 22:28) “For
you save the humble people, but your eyes are on the haughty to bring them low. (2Sa 22:29) “For you are
my lamp, O יהוה, and יהוה makes my darkness light. (2Sa 22:30) “For with you I run against a band, with my
Elohim I leap over a wall. (2Sa 22:31)
“The Ěl – His way is perfect; the Word of יהוה is proven; He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him. (2Sa 22:
32) “Who is Ěl, besides יהוה? And who is a rock, besides our Elohim? (2Sa 22:33) “Ěl is my mighty
stronghold, and He makes my way perfect, (2Sa 22:34) “Making my feet like the feet of deer, and sets me
on my high places, (2Sa 22:35) “Teaching my hands for battle, so that my arms bend a bow of
bronze. (2Sa 22:36) “You give me the shield of your deliverance, and your lowliness makes me great. (2Sa
22:37) “You enlarge my step under me, so that my feet shall not slip. (2Sa 22:38) “I pursue my enemies
and destroy them, and I do not turn back till they are destroyed. (2Sa 22:39) “And I destroy them and crush
them, so that they do not rise, and fall under my feet. (2Sa 22:40) “And you gird me with strength for battle;
you cause my adversaries to bow under me. (2Sa 22:41) “And you make my enemies turn their backs,
those hating me, and I cut them off. (2Sa 22:42) “They look but there is no savior, unto יהוה, but He shall
not answer them. (2Sa 22:43) “And I beat them as dust of the earth, I beat them small as dirt in the streets

“Sons of the foreigner fade away, and gird themselves from their strongholds. (2Sa 22:47) “יהוה lives! And
blessed is my Rock! And exalted is my Elohim, the Rock of my deliverance, (2Sa 22:48) “Ěl who avenges
me, and bringing peoples down under me, (2Sa 22:49) “And bringing me out from my enemies; you raise
me up above those rising up against me; you deliver me from a man of violence. (2Sa 22:50) “Therefore I
give thanks to you, O יהוה, among nations, and I sing praise to your name. (2Sa 22:51) “A tower of
deliverance is He to His sovereign, And showing kindness to His anointed, to Dawiḏ and his
seed, forever.” (2Sa 23:1) And these are the last words of Dawiḏ, the sayings of Dawiḏ son of Yishai, the
saying of the man raised up on high, the anointed of the Elohim of Yaʽaqoḇ, and the sweet singer of Yisra’
ĕl: (2Sa 23:2) “The Spirit of יהוה has spoken through me, and His word is on my tongue. (2Sa 23:3) “The
Elohim of Yisra’ĕl said, The Rock of Yisra’ĕl spoke to me, ‘One who rules over man righteously, (2Sa 23:4)
“Who rules in the fear of Elohim, is like the light of the morning when the sun rises, a morning without
clouds, tender grass from the earth from sunshine, from rain.’ (2Sa 23:5)
“Is not my house so with Ěl? He has made an everlasting covenant with me, ordered in all matters, and
guarded. For all my deliverance and all desire, shall He not make it send forth a Branch? (2Sa 23:6) “But
the worthless are all as thorns thrust away, for they are not taken with hands, (2Sa 23:7) “But the man who
touches them uses iron or the shaft of a spear, and with fire they are burned up in their place.” (2Sa 23:8)
These are the names of the mighty men whom Dawiḏ had: Yoshĕḇ-Bassheḇeth the Taḥkemonite, chief
among the officers, he was Aḏino the Etsnite, for eight hundred slain at one time. (2Sa 23:9) And after him
was Elʽazar son of Doḏo, the Aḥoḥite, one of the three mighty men with Dawiḏ when they taunted the
Philistines who were gathered there for battle, and the men of Yisra’ĕl had gone up. (2Sa 23:10) He arose
and smote the Philistines until his hand was weary, but his hand clung to the sword, so יהוה brought about
a great deliverance that day. And the people returned after him only to plunder. (2Sa 23:11) And after him
was Shammah son of Aḡĕ the Hararite. And the Philistines had gathered into a company where there was
a plot of ground covered with lentils, and the people fled from the Philistines. (2Sa 23:12)
But he took his stand in the middle of the field, and delivered it, and smote the Philistines, and יהוה wrought
a great deliverance. (2Sa 23:13) And three of the thirty chief men went down at harvest time and came to
Dawiḏ (2Sa 23:14) and Dawiḏ was then in the stronghold, while a watch-post of the Philistines was then in
Bĕyth Leḥem. (2Sa 23:15) And Dawiḏ longed and said, “Oh that someone would give me a drink of the
water from the well of Bĕyth Leḥem, which is by the gate!” (2Sa 23:16) And the three mighty men broke
through the camp of the Philistines, and drew water from the well of Bĕyth Leḥem that was by the gate, and
took it and brought it to Dawiḏ. But he would not drink it, but poured it out to 2יהוה. (Sa 23:17) And he said,
“Far be it from me, O יהוה, to do this – the blood of the men who went at the risk of their lives!” So he would
not drink it. This is what the three mighty men did. (2Sa 23:18) And Aḇishai the brother of Yo’aḇ, son of
Tseruyah, was chief of another three. And he lifted his spear against three hundred men whom he slew,
and had a name among these three. (2Sa 23:19) Was he not the most esteemed of three? And he
became their commander, but he did not come to the first three. (2Sa 23:20) And Benayahu was the son of
Yehoyaḏa, son of a brave man from Qaḇtse’ĕl, great in deeds. He smote two lion-like men of Mo’aḇ.
And he went down and smote a lion in the midst of a pit on a snowy day. (2Sa 23:21) And he smote a
Mitsrite, an impressive man.
And the Mitsrite had a spear in his hand, so he went down to him with a staff, wrested the spear out of the
Mitsrite’s hand, and slew him with his own spear. (2Sa 23:22) This is what Benayahu son of
Yehoyaḏa did, and had a name among three mighty men. (2Sa 23:23) He was more esteemed than the
thirty, but he did not come to the first three. And Dawiḏ set him over his guard. (2Sa 23:24) Asah’ĕl the
brother of Yo’aḇ was one of the thirty; Elḥanan son of Doḏo of Bĕyth Leḥem, (2Sa 23:25) Shammah the
Ḥaroḏite, Eliqa the Ḥaroḏite, (2Sa 23:26) Ḥelets the Paltite, Ira son of Iqqĕsh the Teqowite, (2Sa 23:27)
Aḇiʽezer the Anethothite, Meḇunnai the Ḥushathite, (2Sa 23:28) Tsalmon the Aḥoḥite, Maharai the
Netophathite, (2Sa 23:29) Ḥĕleḇ son of Baʽanah the Netophathite, Ittai son of Riḇai from Giḇʽah of the
children of Binyamin, (2Sa 23:30) Benayahu the Pirathonite, Hiddai from the wadis of Gaʽash, (2Sa 23:31)
Aḇi-Alḇon the Arbathite, Azmaweth the Barḥumite, (2Sa 23:32) Elyaḥba the Shaʽalbonite of the sons of
Yashĕn, Yehonathan, (2Sa 23:33) Shammah the Hararite, Aḥyam son of Sharar the Hararite, (2Sa 23:34)
Eliphelet son of Aḥasbai, son of the Maʽaḵathite, Eliyam son of Aḥithophel the Gilonite, (2Sa 23:35) Ḥetsrai
the Karmelite, Paʽarai the Arbite, (2Sa 23:36) Yiḡ’al son of Nathan of Tsoḇah, Bani the Gaḏite, (2Sa 23:37)
Tseleq the Ammonite, Naḥarai the Be’ĕrothite, armor-bearer of Yo’aḇ son of Tseruyah, (2Sa 23:38) Ira the
Yithrite, Garĕḇ the Yithrite, (2Sa 23:39) and Uriyah the Ḥittite – thirty-seven in all. (2Sa 24:1) And again the
displeasure of יהוה burned against Yisra’ĕl, and moved Dawiḏ against them to say, “Go, number Yisra’ĕl
and Yehuḏah.” (2Sa 24:2)
And the sovereign said to Yo’aḇ the commander of the army who was with him, “Go please, throughout all
the tribes of Yisra’ĕl, from Dan to Be’ĕrsheḇa, and register the people, so that I know the number of the
people.” (2Sa 24:3) And Yo’aḇ said to the sovereign, “Even if יהוה your Elohim does add to the people a
hundredfold more than there are, and the eyes of my master the sovereign see it, but why does my master
the sovereign delight in this matter?” (2Sa 24:4) However, the sovereign’s word prevailed against Yo’aḇ
and against the commanders of the army. And Yo’aḇ and the commanders of the army went out from the
presence of the sovereign to register the people of Yisra’ĕl. (2Sa 24:5) And they passed over the Yardĕn
and camped in Aroʽĕr, on the right side of the town which is in the midst of the wadi of Gaḏ, and toward
Yaʽzĕr. (2Sa 24:6) Then they came to Gilʽaḏ and to the land of Taḥtim Ḥoḏshi, and they came to Dan Yaʽan
and around to Tsiḏon. (2Sa 24:7) And they came to the stronghold of Tsor and to all the cities of the
Ḥiwwites and the Kenaʽanites, and went out to South Yehuḏah as far as Be’ĕrsheḇa. (2Sa 24:8) And when
they had gone through all the land, they came to Yerushalayim at the end of nine months and twenty days.
(2Sa 24:9) And Yo’aḇ gave the number of the registration of the people to the sovereign, and there were in
Yisra’ĕl eight hundred thousand brave men who drew the sword, and the men of Yehuḏah were five
hundred thousand men. (2Sa 24:10) And the heart of Dawiḏ smote him after he had numbered the people.
And Dawiḏ said to יהוה, “I have sinned greatly in what I have done. But now, I pray, O יהוה, take away the
crookedness of Your servant, for I have done very foolishly.” (2Sa 24:11) And Dawiḏ rose up in
the morning, and the word of יהוה came to the prophet Gaḏ, Dawiḏ’s seer, saying, (2Sa 24:12) “Go, and you
shall speak to Dawiḏ, ‘Thus said יהוה, “I hold three options before you. Choose one of them, and I do it to
you.” ’ ” (2Sa 24:13) Gaḏ then came to Dawiḏ and informed him. And he said to him, “Should seven years
of scarcity of food come to you in your land? Or would you flee three months before your enemies, while
they pursue you? Or should there be three days’ plague in your land? Now know and see what answer I
take back to Him who sent me.” (2Sa 24:14) And Dawiḏ said to Gaḏ, “I am in great trouble. Please let us
fall into the hand of יהוה, for His compassion is great, but do not let me fall into the hand of man.” (2Sa 24:
15) And יהוה sent a plague upon Yisra’ĕl from the morning till the appointed time, and from Dan to Be’
ĕrsheḇa seventy thousand men of the people died. (2Sa 24:16) And the messenger stretched out His
hand over Yerushalayim to destroy it, and יהוה relented concerning the evil, and said to the messenger who
was destroying the people, “It is enough, now stop your hand.” And the messenger of יהוה was by the
threshing-floor of Arawnah the Yeḇusite. (2Sa 24:17)
And Dawiḏ spoke to יהוה when he saw the messenger who was smiting the people, and id, “See, I have
sinned, and I have done perversely. But these sheep, what have they done? Let your hand, I pray, be
against me and against my father’s house.” (2Sa 24:18) And Gaḏ came that day to Dawiḏ and said to him,
“Go up, raise an altar to יהוה on the threshing-floor of Arawnah the Yeḇusite.” (2Sa 24:19) And Dawiḏ,
according to the word of Gaḏ, went up as יהוה commanded. (2Sa 24:20) And Arawnah looked and saw the
sovereign and his servants coming toward him. And Arawnah went out and bowed before the sovereign
with his face to the ground. (2Sa 24:21) And Arawnah said, “Why has my master the sovereign come to his
servant?”
And Dawiḏ said, “To buy the threshing-floor from you, to build an altar to יהוה, so that the plague be
withdrawn from the people.” (2Sa 24:22) And Arawnah said to Dawiḏ, “Let my master the sovereign take
and offer that which seems good to him. Here are cattle for burnt offering, and threshing implements and
the yokes of the cattle for wood. (2Sa 24:23) “All these, O sovereign, Arawnah has given to the sovereign.”
And Arawnah said to the sovereign, “יהוה your Elohim accept you!” (2Sa 24:24) And the sovereign said to
Arawnah, “No, let me buy it from you for a price, for certain. I am not offering burnt offerings to יהוה my
Elohim without cost.” So Dawiḏ bought the threshing-floor and the cattle for fifty sheqels of silver. (2Sa 24:
25) And Dawiḏ built an altar to יהוה there, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. And יהוה
answered the prayers for the land, and the plague was withdrawn from Yisra’ĕl.
(Heb 3:7) Therefore, as the Set-apart Spirit says, “Today, if you hear His voice,(Heb 3:8) do not harden your
hearts as in the rebellion, in the day of trial in the wilderness, (Heb 3:9) where your fathers tried me, proved
me, and saw my works forty years. (Heb 3:10) “Therefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, ‘they
always go astray in their heart, and they have not known my ways.’ (Heb 3:11) “As I swore in my wrath, ‘If
they shall enter into my rest...’ ”1 Footnote: 1Ps. 95:7-11. (Heb 3:12) Look out, brothers, lest there be in any
of you a wicked heart of unbelief in falling away from the living Elohim, (Heb 3:13) but encourage one
another daily, while it is called “Today,” lest any of you be hardened by the deceivableness of sin. (Heb 3:
14) For we have become partakers of Messiah if we hold fast the beginning of our trust firm to the end,
(Heb 3:15) while it is said, “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.” (Heb
3:16) For whom, having heard, rebelled? Was it not all who came out of Mitsrayim, led by Mosheh? (Heb 3:
17) And with who was He grieved forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose corpses fell in the
wilderness? (Heb 3:18) And to whom did He swear that they would not enter into His rest, but to
those who did not obey? (Heb 3:19) So we see that they were unable to enter in because of unbelief.
Loved one, we too must enter in to His rest by ridding ourselves of our unbelief! This will require
fasting and prayer on my and your parts as we approach the Day of Jacob’s Trouble. We should take notice
that YHWH has revealed these troubles and expects us to be in repentance (Sackcloth and ashes),
forgiving and being forgiven and walking in obedience! (Joe 1:11) The farmers are ashamed; the
vinedressers wail over the wheat and over the barley, for the harvest of the field is destroyed. (Joe 1:12)
The vine has dried up, and the fig tree droops, pomegranate, also palm, and apple tree, all the trees of the
field are dried up, because joy has dried up among the sons of men. (Joe 1:13) Gird yourselves and
lament, you priests. Wail, you attendants of the altar, come and lie all night in sackcloth, you attendants of
my Elohim. For the grain offering and the drink offering are withheld from the house of your Elohim. (Joe 2:
12) “Yet even now,” declares יהוה, “turn to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and
with mourning.” (Joe 2:13) And tear your heart and not your garments, and turn back to יהוה your Elohim, for
He shows favor and is compassionate, patient, and of great kindness, and He shall relent concerning the
evil. (Joe 2:14) Who knows – He might turn and relent, and leave a blessing behind Him, a grain offering
and a drink offering for יהוה your Elohim? (Joe 2:15)
Blow a ram’s horn in Tsiyon, set apart a fast, and call an assembly. (Joe 2:16) Gather the people, set the
assembly apart, assemble the elders, and gather the children and nursing babes. Let a bridegroom come
out from his room, and a bride from her dressing room. (Joe 2:17) Let the priests, servants of יהוה, weep
between the porch and the altar. And let them say, “Spare your people, O יהוה, and do not give your
inheritance to reproach, for the gentiles to rule over them. Why should they say among the peoples, ‘Where
is their Elohim?’ ” (Joe 2:18) And let יהוה be jealous for His land, and spare His people. (Joe 1:14) Set
apart a fast. Call an assembly, gather the elders, all the inhabitants of the land, into the House of יהוה your
Elohim, and cry out to יהוה. (Joe 1:15)
Alas for the day! The day of יהוה is near, and it comes as destruction from the Almighty. (Joe 1:16) Is not the
food cut off before our eyes, joy and gladness from the House of our Elohim? (Joe 2:21) Do not fear O soil,
be glad and rejoice, for יהוה has done greatly! (Joe 2:22) Do not fear, you beasts of the field, for the
pastures of the wilderness shall spring forth, and the tree shall bear its fruit, the fig tree and the vine shall
yield their strength. (Joe 2:23) And you children of Tsiyon, be glad and rejoice in יהוה your Elohim, for He
shall give you the Teacher of Righteousness, and cause the rain to come down for you, the former rain and
the latter rain, as before.
Loved ones, we can see from the above promises to His children- we are to rejoice! We have the promised
early and latter rain outpouring of His Spirit coming! (Joe 2:27) “And you shall know that I am in the
midst of Yisra’ĕl1, and that I am יהוה your Elohim and there is no one else. And my people shall never be
put to shame. Footnote: 1See Isa. 24:23. (Joe 2:28) “And after this it shall be that I pour out My Spirit on all
flesh. And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men dream dreams, your young men
see visions. (Joe 2:29) “And also on the male servants and on the female servants I shall pour out My
Spirit in those days. (Joe 2:30) “And I shall give signs in the heavens and upon the earth: blood and fire
and columns of smoke, (Joe 2:31) the sun is turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the
coming of the great and awesome day of יהוה. (Joe 2:32) “And it shall be that everyone who calls on the
Name of יהוה shall be delivered1.
On Mount Tsiyon and in Yerushalayim there shall be an escape2 as יהוה has said, and among

kept in the heavens for you, (1Pe 1:5) who are protected by the power of Elohim through belief, for a
deliverance ready to be revealed in the last time, (1Pe 1:6) in which you exult, even though for a little while,
if need be, you have been grieved by manifold trials, (1Pe 1:7) in order that the proving of your belief –
much more precious than gold that perishes, and proven by fire – might be found to result in praise and
respect and esteem at the revelation of יהושע Messiah, (1Pe 1:8) whom having not seen, you love; in whom
you exult with unspeakable and esteemed joy, yet not seeing, but believing,(1Pe 1:9) obtaining the goal of
your belief (faith): a deliverance of lives.

Last week we had some abrupt reminders of reality approaching our planet. This should be a
sobering and awakening blast of the Trumpet to make ourselves ready. We talked about Rick Wiles’ radio
message and Avi Ben Mordechai’s warning Something Wicked This Way Comes; and our study last week
which we will shortly review. Then unraveling before our eyes was Hamas sending terrorists against Israel
via a flotilla of “peace and safety” (sudden destruction) to turn world opinion against Israel and YHWH’s
land that He placed His name upon.
This will escalate drastically if I heard properly and have warned you now for months and months: things
will get serious for our world’s fiat economy through this summer culminating with civil unrest and most
likely with rockets flying by the Feast of Trumpets, in the fall of 2010! Be not hopeless though, do
understand our King desires your attention and presence. (Pro 3:1) My sons, do not forget my Torah, and
let your heart watch over my commands; (Pro 3:2) length of days and long life and peace they add to you.
(Pro 3:3) Let not kindness and truths forsake you – bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of
your heart, (Pro 3:4) thus finding favor and good insight in the eyes of Elohim and man. (Pro 3:5) Trust in
יהוה with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; (Pro 3:6) know Him in all your ways, and
He makes all your paths straight. (Pro 3:7) Do not be wise in your own eyes1; fear יהוה and turn away from

(Num 8:12) “And the Lĕwites shall lay their hands on the heads of the young bulls. And one shall be
prepared as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering to יהוה, to make atonement for the Lĕwites.
(Num 8:13) “And you shall have the Lĕwites stand before Aharon and his sons, and then wave them, a
wave offering to יהוה. (Num 8:14) “Thus you shall separate the Lĕwites from among the children of Yisra’ĕl,
and the Lĕwites shall be mine. (Num 8:15) “Then after that the Lĕwites shall go in to do service in the Tent
of Meeting, when you have cleansed them and waved them as a wave offering. (Num 8:16) “They are given
ones, given to me from among the children of Yisra’ĕl. I have taken them for myself instead of all who open
the womb, the first-born of all the children of Yisra’ĕl. (Num 8:17) “For all the first-born among the children
of Yisra’ĕl are mine, both man and beast. On the day that I smote all the first-born in the land of Mitsrayim I
set them apart unto myself. (Num 8:18) “And I have taken the Lĕwites instead of all the first-born of the
children of Yisra’ĕl.
We will need to seek His face and be moved into action by His words as we listen:
Num 9:1 And יהוה spoke to Mosheh in the Wilderness of Sinai, in the first month of the second year after
they had come out of the land of Mitsrayim, saying, Num 9:2 “Now, let the children of Yisra’ĕl perform the
Passover at its appointed time; Num 9:3 on the fourteenth day of this month between the
evenings, perform it at its appointed time. According to all its laws and right-rulings you perform it.” Num 9:
4 And Mosheh spoke to the children of Yisra’ĕl to perform the Passover; Num 9:5 so they performed the
Passover on the fourteenth day of the first month, between the evenings, in the Wilderness of Sinai.
According to all that יהוה commanded Mosheh, so the children of Yisra’ĕl did.
We MUST Stay in His Presence- to depart will bring certain death and the end of
our testimony and producing His precious fruit on the Earth
Num 9:15 and on the day that the Dwelling Place was raised up, the cloud covered the Dwelling Place, the
Tent of the Witness. From evening until morning it was above the Dwelling Place like the appearance
of fire. Num 9:16 thus it was continually: the cloud covered it by day, and the appearance of fire by night.
Num 9:17 and whenever the cloud was taken up from above the Tent, after that the children of Yisra’ĕl
would depart. And in the place where the cloud dwelt, there the children of Yisra’ĕl would camp. Num 9:18
at the command of יהוה the children of Yisra’ĕl departed, and at the command of יהוה they camped. They
remained camped as long as the cloud dwelt above the Dwelling Place. Num 9:19 Even when the cloud
lingered many days above the Dwelling Place, the children of Yisra’ĕl guarded the Charge of יהוה, and did
not depart.
Num 9:20 and so it was, when the cloud was above the Dwelling Place a few days: according to the
command of יהוה they camped, and according to the command of יהוה they would depart. Num 9:21 and so
it was, when the cloud dwelt only from evening until morning: when the cloud was taken up in the morning,
then they departed. Whether by day or by night, whenever the cloud was taken up, they departed. Num 9:22
whether two days, or a month, or a year that the cloud lingered above the Dwelling Place to dwell upon it,
the children of Yisra’ĕl camped, and did not depart. But when it was taken up, they departed. Num 9:23 at
the command of יהוה they camped, and at the command of יהוה they departed. They guarded the Charge of
יהוה, at the command of יהוה by the hand of Mosheh. (Comment: I expect we will also have a cloud by day
and a fire by night during our so journeying during the approaching Days of Jacob’s Trouble as our
Deliverer will do mighty acts on our behalf!)
We will need the Presence of YHWH for our enemies to scattered!
And the Ark of the Covenant of יהוה went before them for the three days’ journey, to seek out a resting place
for them. (Num 10:34) And the cloud of יהוה was above them by day when they went out from the camp.
(Num 10:35) And it came to be, whenever the ark set out, that Mosheh said, “Rise up, O יהוה! And let your
enemies be scattered, and let those who hate you flee before you.” (Num 10:36) And when it rested, he
said, “Return, O יהוה, to the countless thousands of Yisra’ĕl.”
Let’s learn from their murmuring and NOT DO IT! No whining and complaining.
(Num 11:1) And it came to be, when the people were as complainers, it was evil in the ears
of יהוה. And יהוה heard it, and His displeasure burned. And the fire of יהוה burned among them, and
consumed those in the outskirts of the camp. (Num 11:2) And the people cried out to Mosheh, and
Mosheh prayed to יהוה, and the fire died down. (Num 11:3) Then he called the name of the place Taḇʽĕrah,
because the fire of יהוה had burned among them.
TRY THIS! Here’s how we, having made Messiah Yahshua our Master, get YHWH’s presence (ARK) and
our enemies will be scattered- Worship our Creator!
(Psa 100:1) Raise a shout for יהוה, all the earth! (Psa 100:2) Serve יהוה with gladness; Come before His
presence with singing. (Psa 100:3) Know that יהוה, He is Elohim; He has made us, and we are His – His
people and the sheep of His pasture. (Psa 100:4) Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His
courts with praise. Give thanks to Him; bless His Name. (Psa 100:5) For יהוה is good; His kindness is
everlasting, And His truth, to all generations.

Spy out the land!
(Num 13:1) And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying, (Num 13:2) “Send men to spy out the land of Kenaʽan,
which I am giving to the children of Yisra’ĕl. Send one man from each tribe of their fathers, everyone a
leader among them.” (Num 13:3) And by the command of יהוה Mosheh sent them from the Wilderness of
Paran, all of them men who were heads of the children of Yisra’ĕl. (Num 13:4) And these were their
names. From the tribe of Re’uḇĕn: Shammua, son of Zakkur. (Num 13:5) From the tribe of Shimʽon:
Shaphat, son of Ḥori. (Num 13:6) From the tribe of Yehuḏah: Kalĕḇ, son of Yephunneh. (Num 13:7) From
the tribe of Yissasḵar: Yiḡ’al, son of Yosĕph. (Num 13:8) From the tribe of Ephrayim: Hoshĕa, son of Nun.
(Num 13:9) From the tribe of Binyamin: Palti, son of Raphu. (Num 13:10) From the tribe of Zeḇulun: Gaddi’
ĕl, son of Soḏi. (Num 13:11) from the tribe of Yosĕph, from the tribe of Menashsheh: Gaddi, son of Susi.
(Num 13:12)
From the tribe of Dan: Ammi’ĕl, son of Gemalli. (Num 13:13) From the tribe of Ashĕr: Shĕthur, son of Miḵa’
ĕl. (Num 13:14) From the tribe of Naphtali: Naḥbi, son of Wophsi. (Num 13:15) From the tribe of Gaḏ: Geu’
ĕl, son of Maḵi. (Num 13:16) these are the names of the men whom Mosheh sent to spy out the land. And
Mosheh called Hoshĕa the son of Nun, Yehoshua. (Num 13:17) And Mosheh sent them to spy out the land
of Kenaʽan, and said to them, “Go up here into the South, and go up to the mountains, (Num 13:18) and
see what the land is like, and the people who dwell in it, whether strong or weak, whether few or many,
(Num 13:19) and whether the land they dwell in is good or evil, whether the cities they inhabit are in camps
or strongholds, (Num 13:20) and whether the land is rich or poor, and whether there are forests there or
not. And you shall be strong, and bring some of the fruit of the land.” Now the time was the season of the
first-fruits of grapes. (Num 13:21)
So they went up and spied out the land from the Wilderness of Tsin as far as Reḥoḇ, near the entrance of
Ḥamath. (Num 13:22) And they went up through the South and came to Ḥeḇron. And Aḥiman,
Shĕshai, and Talmai, the descendants of Anaq, were there. Now Ḥeḇron had been built seven years
before Tsoʽan in Mitsrayim. (Num 13:23) And they came to the wadi Eshkol, and cut down from there a
branch with one cluster of grapes. And they bore it between two of them on a pole, also of the
pomegranates and of the figs. (Num 13:24) That place was called the wadi Eshkol, because of the cluster
which the men of Yisra’ĕl cut down from there. (Num 13:25) And they returned from spying out the land
after forty days. (Num 13:26) And they went and came to Mosheh and Aharon and all the congregation of
the children of Yisra’ĕl in the Wilderness of Paran, at Qaḏĕsh. And they brought back word to them and to
the entire congregation, and showed them the fruit of the land.
Speak YHWH’s words and receive your promise…or PERISH!
(Num 13:27) And they reported to him, and said, “We went to the land where you sent us. And truly, it flows
with milk and honey, and this is its fruit. (Num 13:28) “But the people who dwell in the land are strong, and
the cities are walled, very great. And we saw the descendants of Anaq there too. (Num 13:29) “The
Amalĕqites dwell in the land of the South, while the Ḥittites and the Yeḇusites and the Amorites dwell in the
mountains. And the Kenaʽanites dwell by the sea and along the banks of the Yardĕn.” (Num 13:30) And
Kalĕḇ silenced the people before Mosheh, and said, “Let us go up at once and take possession, for
we are certainly able to overcome it.”
When we are faced with wicked facts- whose report will we believe? Choose well!
(Num 13:31) But the men who had gone up with him said, “We are not able to go up against the
people, for they are stronger than we.” (Num 13:32) And they gave the children of Yisra’ĕl an evil report of
the land which they had spied out, saying, “The land through which we have gone as spies is a land eating
up its inhabitants, and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great size. (Num 13:33) “And we saw
there the Nephilim, sons of Anaq, of the Nephilim. And we were like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and so
we were in their eyes.” (Num 14:1)
Then all the congregation lifted up their voices and cried, and the people wept that night. (Num 14:2) And
all the children of Yisra’ĕl grumbled against Mosheh and against Aharon, and all the congregation said to
them, “If only we had died in the land of Mitsrayim! Or if only we had died in this wilderness! (Num 14:3)
“And why is יהוה bringing us to this land to fall by the sword, that our wives and children should become a
prey? Would it not be better for us to turn back to Mitsrayim?” (Num 14:4) And they said to each other, “Let
us appoint a leader, and let us turn back to Mitsrayim.” (Num 14:5) Then Mosheh and Aharon fell on their
faces before all the assembly of the congregation of the children of Yisra’ĕl. (Num 14:6) And
Yehoshua son of Nun, and Kalĕḇ son of Yephunneh, who were among those who had spied out the land,
tore their garments, (Num 14:7) and they spoke to all the congregation of the children of Yisra’ĕl, saying,
“The land we passed through to spy out is an exceedingly good land. (Num 14:8) “If יהוה has delighted in
us, then He shall bring us into this land and give it to us, ‘a land which is flowing with milk and honey.’
(Num 14:9)
“Only, do not rebel against יהוה, nor fear the people of the land, for they are our bread. Their defence has
turned away from them, and יהוה is with us. Do not fear them.” (Num 14:10) But the entire congregation
said to stone them with stones. Then the esteem (glory) of יהוה appeared in the Tent of Meeting before all
the children of Yisra’ĕl. (Num 14:11) And יהוה said to Mosheh, “How long shall I be scorned by these
people? And how long shall I not be trusted by them, with all the signs which I have done in their midst?
(Num 14:12) “Let me smite them with the pestilence and disinherit them, and make of you a nation greater
and mightier than they.” (Num 14:13) And Mosheh said to יהוה, “then the Mitsrites shall hear it, for by your
power you brought these people up from their midst, (Num 14:14) and they shall say to the inhabitants of
this land they have heard that you, יהוה, are in the midst of these people, that you, יהוה, are seen eye to eye
and that your cloud stands above them, and you go before them in a column of cloud by day and in a
column of fire by night. (Num 14:15)
“Now if you shall kill these people as one man, then the nations which have heard of your report shall
speak, saying, (Num 14:16) ‘Because יהוה was not able to bring this people to the land which He swore to
give them, therefore He killed them in the wilderness.’ (Num 14:17) “And now, I pray, let the power of יהוה
be great, as you have spoken, saying, (Num 14:18) ‘יהוה is patient and of great kindness, forgiving
crookedness and transgression, but by no means leaving unpunished1; visiting the crookedness of the
fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation.’ Footnote: 1This is confirmed in Ex. 34:7 and in
Jer. 30:11. (Num 14:19) “Please forgive the crookedness of this people, according to the greatness of your
kindness, as you have forgiven this people, from Mitsrayim even until now.” (Num 14:20)
And יהוה said, “I shall forgive, according to your word, (Num 14:21) but truly, as I live and all the earth is
filled with the esteem of יהוה, (Num 14:22) for none of these men who have seen my esteem and the signs
which I did in Mitsrayim and in the wilderness, and have tried me now these ten times, and have disobeyed
my voice, (Num 14:23) shall see the land of which I swore to their fathers, nor any of those who scorned
me see it. (Num 14:24) “But my servant Kalĕḇ, because he has a different spirit in him and has followed
me completely, I shall bring into the land where he went, and his seed shall inherit it. (Num 14:25) “Since
the Amalĕqites and the Kenaʽanites are dwelling in the valley, turn back tomorrow and set out into the
wilderness by the Way of the Red Sea.”
DO NOT SPEAK FACTS IF THEY DISAGREE WITH YHWH! It is an evil report!
(Num 14:26) And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, and to Aharon, saying, (Num 14:27) “How long shall this evil
congregation have this grumbling against me? I have heard the grumblings which the children of Yisra’ĕl
are grumbling against me. (Num 14:28) “Say to them, ‘As I live,’ declares יהוה, ‘as you have spoken in My
hearing, so I do to you: (Num 14:29) ‘The carcasses of you who have grumbled against me are going
to fall in this wilderness, all of you who were registered, according to your entire number, from twenty years
old and above. (Num 14:30) ‘None of you except Kalĕḇ son of Yephunneh, and Yehoshua son of
Nun, shall enter the land which I swore I would make you dwell in. (Num 14:31) ‘But your little ones, whom
you said would become a prey, I shall bring in, and they shall know the land which you have rejected. (Num
14:32) ‘But as for you, your carcasses are going to fall in this wilderness. (Num 14:33) ‘And your sons
shall be wanderers in the wilderness forty years, and shall bear your whorings, until your carcasses are
consumed in the wilderness. (Num 14:34) ‘According to the number of the days in which you spied out the
land, forty days – a day for a year, a day for a year – you are to bear your crookednesses forty years, and you
shall know my breaking off. (Num 14:35)
‘I am יהוה, I have spoken, I shall do this to all this evil congregation who are meeting against me: In this
wilderness they are consumed, and there they die.’ ” (Num 14:36) And the men whom Mosheh sent to spy
out the land, who returned and made all the congregation grumble against him by bringing an evil report of
the land, (Num 14:37) even those men who brought the evil report about the land, died by the plague
before יהוה. (Num 14:38) Of those men who went to spy out the land, only Yehoshua son of Nun,
and Kalĕḇ son of Yephunneh remained alive. (Num 14:39)
And when Mosheh spoke these words to all the children of Yisra’ĕl, the people mourned greatly. (Num 14:
40) And they rose up early in the morning and went up to the top of the mountain, saying, “See, we have
indeed sinned, but we shall go up to the place which יהוה had spoken of!” (Num 14:41) But Mosheh said,
“Why do you now transgress the command of יהוה, since it does not prosper? (Num 14:42) “Do not go up,
lest you be smitten by your enemies, for יהוה is not in your midst. (Num 14:43) “Because the Amalĕqites
and the Kenaʽanites are there before you, and you shall fall by the sword. Because you have turned away
from יהוה, יהוה is not with you.” (Num 14:44)
But they presumed to go up to the mountaintop, but neither the ark of the covenant of יהוה nor Mosheh left
the camp. (Num 14:45) So the Amalĕqites and the Kenaʽanites who dwelt in that mountain came down
and smote them, and beat them down, even to Ḥormah. (Num 15:1) And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying,
(Num 15:2) “Speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, and say to them, ‘When you have come into the land of your
dwellings, which I am giving you, (Num 15:3) and you make an offering by fire to יהוה, a burnt offering or a
slaughtering, to accomplish a vow or as a voluntary offering or in your appointed times, to make a sweet
fragrance to יהוה, from the herd or the flock, (Num 15:4) then he who brings near his offering to הוה shall
bring near a grain offering of one-tenth of an ĕphah of fine flour mixed with one-fourth of a hin of oil, (Num
15:5) and one-fourth of a hin of wine as a drink offering you prepare with the burnt offering or the
slaughtering, for each lamb. (Num 15:6) ‘Or for a ram you prepare as a grain offering two-tenths of an
ĕphah of fine flour mixed with one-third of a hin of oil, (Num 15:7) and as a drink offering you bring
one-third of a hin of wine as a sweet fragrance to יהוה. (Num 15:8) ‘And when you prepare a young bull as
a burnt offering, or as a slaughtering to accomplish a vow, or as a peace offering to יהוה, (Num 15:9) then
shall be brought with the young bull a grain offering of three-tenths of an ĕphah of fine flour mixed with half
a hin of oil, (Num 15:10) and bring as the drink offering half a hin of wine as an offering made by fire, a
sweet fragrance to יהוה. (Num 15:11)
‘This is what is done for each young bull, for each ram, or for each lamb or young goat. (Num 15:12)
‘According to the number that you prepare, so you do for each one according to their number. (Num 15:13)
‘Let all who are native do so with them, in bringing near an offering made by fire, a sweet fragrance to יהוה.
(Num 15:14) ‘And when a stranger sojourns with you, or whoever is among you throughout your
generations, and would make an offering made by fire, a sweet fragrance to יהוה, as you do, so he does.
(Num 15:15) ‘One law is for you of the assembly and for the stranger who sojourns with you – a
law forever throughout your generations. As you are, so is the stranger before יהוה. (Num 15:16) ‘One
Torah and one right-ruling is for you and for the stranger who sojourns with you.’ ” (Num 15:17) And יהוה
spoke to Mosheh, saying, (Num 15:18)
“Speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, and say to them, ‘When you come into the land to which I bring you, (Num
15:19) then it shall be, when you eat of the bread of the land, that you present a contribution to יהוה. (Num
15:20) ‘Present a cake of the first of your dough as a contribution – as a contribution of the threshing-floor
you present it. (Num 15:21) ‘Of the first of your dough you are to give to יהוה a contribution throughout your
generations. (Num 15:22) ‘And when you sin by mistake, and do not do all these commands which יהוה
has spoken to Mosheh, (Num 15:23) all that יהוה has commanded you by the hand of Mosheh, from the
day יהוה gave command and onward throughout your generations, (Num 15:24) then it shall be, if it is done
by mistake, without the knowledge of the congregation, that all the congregation shall prepare one young
bull as a burnt offering, as a sweet fragrance to יהוה, with its grain offering and its drink offering, according
to the right-ruling, and one male goat as a sin offering. (Num 15:25)
‘Then the priest shall make atonement for all the congregation of the children of Yisra’ĕl, and it shall be
forgiven them, for it was by mistake. And they shall bring their offering, an offering made by fire to יהוה, and
their sin offering before יהוה, for their mistake. (Num 15:26) ‘And it shall be forgiven all the congregation of
the children of Yisra’ĕl and the stranger who sojourns in their midst, because all the people did it by
mistake. (Num 15:27) ‘And if a being sins by mistake, then he shall bring a female goat a year old as a sin
offering. (Num 15:28) ‘And the priest shall make atonement for the being who strays by mistake, when he
sins by mistake before יהוה, to make atonement for him, and it shall be forgiven him. (Num 15:29) ‘For him
who does whatever by mistake there is one Torah, both for him who is native among the children of
Yisra’ĕl and for the stranger who sojourns in their midst. (Num 15:30)
‘But the being that does whatever defiantly, whether he is native or a stranger, he reviles יהוה, and
that being shall be cut off from among his people. (Num 15:31) ‘Because he has despised the word of
יהוה, and has broken His command, that being shall certainly be cut off, his crookedness is upon him.’ ”
(Num 15:32) And while the children of Yisra’ĕls were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering sticks
on the Sabbath day. (Num 15:33) And those who found him gathering sticks brought him to Mosheh and
to Aharon, and to the entire congregation. (Num 15:34) And they put him in under guard, because it had
not been declared what should be done to him. (Num 15:35) And יהוה said to Mosheh, “The man shall
certainly be put to death, all the congregation stoning him with stones outside the camp.” (Num 15:36) And
the entire congregation brought him outside the camp and stoned him with stones, as יהוה commanded
Mosheh, and he died. (Num 15:37) And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying, (Num 15:38) “Speak to the children
of Yisra’ĕl, and you shall say to them to make tzitziyot1 on the corners of their garments throughout their
generations, and to put a blue cord in the tzitzit1 of the corners. Footnote: 1See Explanatory notes - “Tzitzit” -
plural Tzitziyot. (Num 15:39) “And it shall be to you for a tzitzit, and you shall see it, and shall remember all
the commands of יהוה and shall do them, and not search after your own heart and your own eyes after
which you went whoring, (Num 15:40) so that you remember, and shall do all my commands, and be set-
apart unto your Elohim. (Num 15:41) “I am יהוה your Elohim, who brought you out of the land of Mitsrayim,
to be your Elohim. I am יהוה your Elohim.”
Note: Joshua just sent 2 spies as perhaps 10 were disqualified by speaking evil!
(Jos 2:1) And Yehoshua son of Nun secretly sent out two men from Shittim to spy, saying, “Go, see the
land, and Yeriḥo.” And they went, and came to the house of a woman, a whore, and her name was Raḥaḇ,
and they lay down there. (Jos 2:2) But it was reported to the sovereign of Yeriḥo, saying, “See, men
from the children of Yisra’ĕl have come here tonight to search out the land.” (Jos 2:3) And the sovereign of
Yeriḥo sent to Raḥaḇ, saying, “Bring out the men who have come to you, who have entered your house, for
they have come to search out all the land.” (Jos 2:4) But the woman had taken the two men and hid them.
So she said, “The men came to me, but I did not know where they were from. (Jos 2:5) “Then it came to be
as the gate was being shut, when it was dark that the men went out. I do not know where the men went.
Pursue them quickly, so that you overtake them.” (Jos 2:6) But she had brought them up to the roof and
hidden them with the stalks of flax, which she had laid out on the roof. (Jos 2:7) And the men
pursued them by the way to the Yardĕn, to the fords.
And they shut the gate afterwards as soon as the pursuers had gone out. (Jos 2:8) And before they lay
down, she came up to them on the roof, (Jos 2:9) and she said to the men, “I know that יהוה has given you
the land, and that the fear of you has fallen on us, and that all the inhabitants of the land melt
away because of you. (Jos 2:10) “For we have heard how יהוה dried up the water of the Sea of Reeds for
you when you came out of Mitsrayim, and what you did to the two sovereigns of the Amorites who were
beyond the Yardĕn, Siḥon and Oḡ, whom you put under the ban. (Jos 2:11) “And when we heard, our
hearts melted, and there was no spirit left in anyone because of you, for יהוה your Elohim, He is Elohim in
the heavens above and on earth beneath. (Jos 2:12)
“And now, please swear to me by יהוה, since I have shown you kindness, that you also show kindness to
my father’s house, and shall give me a true token, (Jos 2:13) and shall spare my father, and my mother,
and my brothers, and my sisters, and all that they have, and shall deliver our lives from death.” (Jos 2:14)
And the men said to her, “Our lives for yours, if you do not expose this matter of ours, then it shall be, when
יהוה has given us the land, that we shall treat you in kindness and truth.” (Jos 2:15) So she let them down
by a rope through the window, for her house was on the city wall and she dwelt on the wall. (Jos 2:16) And
she said to them, “Go to the mountain, lest the pursuers come upon you. And you shall hide there for three
days, until the pursuers have returned, and afterwards go on your way.” (Jos 2:17) And the men said
to her, “We are released from this oath of yours which you have made us swear, (Jos 2:18) unless, when
we come into the land, you bind this line of scarlet cord in the window through which you let us down, and
unless you bring your father, and your mother, and your brothers, and all your father’s household to your
own home. (Jos 2:19)
“And it shall be that anyone who goes outside the doors of your house into the street, his blood is on his
own head, and we are innocent. And anyone who is with you in the house, his blood is on our head if a
hand is laid on him. (Jos 2:20) “And if you expose this matter of ours, then we shall be released from your
oath which you made us swear.” (Jos 2:21) And she said, “Let it be according to your words.” And she sent
them away, and they went. She bound the scarlet cord in the window. (Jos 2:22) So they left and came to
the mountain, and stayed there three days until the pursuers returned. And the pursuers sought them in all
the way, but did not find them. (Jos 2:23) Then the two men returned and came down from the mountain,
and passed over. And they came to Yehoshua son of Nun, and related to him all that had befallen them.
(Jos 2:24) And they said to Yehoshua, “Truly יהוה has given all the land into our hands, and also, all the
inhabitants of the land have melted away because of us.”
Great song we should be singing and speaking this good report!
(2Sa 22:1) Then Dawiḏ spoke to יהוה the words of this song, on the day when יהוה had delivered him from
the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Sha’ul. (2Sa 22:2) And he said, “יהוה is my rock and my
stronghold and my deliverer. (2Sa 22:3) “My Elohim is my rock; I take refuge in Him, my shield and
the horn of my deliverance, my high tower and my refuge. My Savior, you save me from violence. (2Sa 22:4)
“I call on יהוה, the One to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies. (2Sa 22:5) “For the waves of death
surrounded me, floods of Beliyaʽal made me afraid, (2Sa 22:6) “The cords of the grave were all around me;
the snares of death were before me. (2Sa 22:7)
“In my distress I called upon יהוה, and to my Elohim I cried. And from His Hĕḵal He heard my voice, and my
cry was in His ears. (2Sa 22:8) “And the earth shook and trembled, the foundations of the heavens were
troubled, Because He was wroth. (2Sa 22:9) “Smoke went up from His nostrils, and devouring fire
from His mouth; coals were kindled by it. (2Sa 22:10) “And He bowed the heavens and came down, and
thick darkness was under His feet. (2Sa 22:11) “And He rode upon a keruḇ, and flew, and was seen upon
the wings of the wind. (2Sa 22:12) “And He put darkness around Him as booths, darkness of waters, thick
clouds. (2Sa 22:13) “From the brightness before Him coals of fire were kindled. (2Sa 22:14) “יהוה
thundered from the heavens, and the Most High sent forth His voice. (2Sa 22:15) “And He sent out arrows
and scattered them, Lightning, and confused them. (2Sa 22:16) “And the channels of the sea were seen,
the foundations of the world were uncovered at the rebuke of יהוה, at the blast of the breath of His nostrils.
(2Sa 22:17) “He sent from above, He took me, He drew me out of many waters. (2Sa 22:18) “He delivered
me from my strong enemy, from those hating me, for they were stronger than I. (2Sa 22:19)
“They confronted me in the day of my calamity, but יהוה was my support. (2Sa 22:20) “And He brought me
out into a large place; He delivered me for He delighted in me. (2Sa 22:21) “יהוה rewarded me according to
my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands He repaid me. (2Sa 22:22) “For I
have guarded the ways of יהוה, and have not acted wrongly against my Elohim. (2Sa 22:23) “For all His
right-rulings are before me; As for His laws, I do not turn from them. (2Sa 22:24) “And I am perfect before
Him, and I guard myself from my crookedness. (2Sa 22:25) “And you show yourself perfect, (2Sa 22:27)
“With the clean you show yourself clean, and with the crooked you show yourself twisted. (2Sa 22:28) “For
you save the humble people, but your eyes are on the haughty to bring them low. (2Sa 22:29) “For you are
my lamp, O יהוה, and יהוה makes my darkness light. (2Sa 22:30) “For with you I run against a band, with my
Elohim I leap over a wall. (2Sa 22:31)
“The Ěl – His way is perfect; the Word of יהוה is proven; He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him. (2Sa 22:
32) “Who is Ěl, besides יהוה? And who is a rock, besides our Elohim? (2Sa 22:33) “Ěl is my mighty
stronghold, and He makes my way perfect, (2Sa 22:34) “Making my feet like the feet of deer, and sets me
on my high places, (2Sa 22:35) “Teaching my hands for battle, so that my arms bend a bow of
bronze. (2Sa 22:36) “You give me the shield of your deliverance, and your lowliness makes me great. (2Sa
22:37) “You enlarge my step under me, so that my feet shall not slip. (2Sa 22:38) “I pursue my enemies
and destroy them, and I do not turn back till they are destroyed. (2Sa 22:39) “And I destroy them and crush
them, so that they do not rise, and fall under my feet. (2Sa 22:40) “And you gird me with strength for battle;
you cause my adversaries to bow under me. (2Sa 22:41) “And you make my enemies turn their backs,
those hating me, and I cut them off. (2Sa 22:42) “They look but there is no savior, unto יהוה, but He shall
not answer them. (2Sa 22:43) “And I beat them as dust of the earth, I beat them small as dirt in the streets
– I spread them out. (2Sa 22:44) “And you deliver me from the strivings of my people, you safeguard me as
the head of the nations; a people I have not known serve me. (2Sa 22:45) “Sons of the foreigner submit to
me, as soon as they hear they obey me. (2Sa 22:46)
“Sons of the foreigner fade away, and gird themselves from their strongholds. (2Sa 22:47) “יהוה lives! And
blessed is my Rock! And exalted is my Elohim, the Rock of my deliverance, (2Sa 22:48) “Ěl who avenges
me, and bringing peoples down under me, (2Sa 22:49) “And bringing me out from my enemies; you raise
me up above those rising up against me; you deliver me from a man of violence. (2Sa 22:50) “Therefore I
give thanks to you, O יהוה, among nations, and I sing praise to your name. (2Sa 22:51) “A tower of
deliverance is He to His sovereign, And showing kindness to His anointed, to Dawiḏ and his
seed, forever.” (2Sa 23:1) And these are the last words of Dawiḏ, the sayings of Dawiḏ son of Yishai, the
saying of the man raised up on high, the anointed of the Elohim of Yaʽaqoḇ, and the sweet singer of Yisra’
ĕl: (2Sa 23:2) “The Spirit of יהוה has spoken through me, and His word is on my tongue. (2Sa 23:3) “The
Elohim of Yisra’ĕl said, The Rock of Yisra’ĕl spoke to me, ‘One who rules over man righteously, (2Sa 23:4)
“Who rules in the fear of Elohim, is like the light of the morning when the sun rises, a morning without
clouds, tender grass from the earth from sunshine, from rain.’ (2Sa 23:5)
“Is not my house so with Ěl? He has made an everlasting covenant with me, ordered in all matters, and
guarded. For all my deliverance and all desire, shall He not make it send forth a Branch? (2Sa 23:6) “But
the worthless are all as thorns thrust away, for they are not taken with hands, (2Sa 23:7) “But the man who
touches them uses iron or the shaft of a spear, and with fire they are burned up in their place.” (2Sa 23:8)
These are the names of the mighty men whom Dawiḏ had: Yoshĕḇ-Bassheḇeth the Taḥkemonite, chief
among the officers, he was Aḏino the Etsnite, for eight hundred slain at one time. (2Sa 23:9) And after him
was Elʽazar son of Doḏo, the Aḥoḥite, one of the three mighty men with Dawiḏ when they taunted the
Philistines who were gathered there for battle, and the men of Yisra’ĕl had gone up. (2Sa 23:10) He arose
and smote the Philistines until his hand was weary, but his hand clung to the sword, so יהוה brought about
a great deliverance that day. And the people returned after him only to plunder. (2Sa 23:11) And after him
was Shammah son of Aḡĕ the Hararite. And the Philistines had gathered into a company where there was
a plot of ground covered with lentils, and the people fled from the Philistines. (2Sa 23:12)
But he took his stand in the middle of the field, and delivered it, and smote the Philistines, and יהוה wrought
a great deliverance. (2Sa 23:13) And three of the thirty chief men went down at harvest time and came to
Dawiḏ (2Sa 23:14) and Dawiḏ was then in the stronghold, while a watch-post of the Philistines was then in
Bĕyth Leḥem. (2Sa 23:15) And Dawiḏ longed and said, “Oh that someone would give me a drink of the
water from the well of Bĕyth Leḥem, which is by the gate!” (2Sa 23:16) And the three mighty men broke
through the camp of the Philistines, and drew water from the well of Bĕyth Leḥem that was by the gate, and
took it and brought it to Dawiḏ. But he would not drink it, but poured it out to 2יהוה. (Sa 23:17) And he said,
“Far be it from me, O יהוה, to do this – the blood of the men who went at the risk of their lives!” So he would
not drink it. This is what the three mighty men did. (2Sa 23:18) And Aḇishai the brother of Yo’aḇ, son of
Tseruyah, was chief of another three. And he lifted his spear against three hundred men whom he slew,
and had a name among these three. (2Sa 23:19) Was he not the most esteemed of three? And he
became their commander, but he did not come to the first three. (2Sa 23:20) And Benayahu was the son of
Yehoyaḏa, son of a brave man from Qaḇtse’ĕl, great in deeds. He smote two lion-like men of Mo’aḇ.
And he went down and smote a lion in the midst of a pit on a snowy day. (2Sa 23:21) And he smote a
Mitsrite, an impressive man.
And the Mitsrite had a spear in his hand, so he went down to him with a staff, wrested the spear out of the
Mitsrite’s hand, and slew him with his own spear. (2Sa 23:22) This is what Benayahu son of
Yehoyaḏa did, and had a name among three mighty men. (2Sa 23:23) He was more esteemed than the
thirty, but he did not come to the first three. And Dawiḏ set him over his guard. (2Sa 23:24) Asah’ĕl the
brother of Yo’aḇ was one of the thirty; Elḥanan son of Doḏo of Bĕyth Leḥem, (2Sa 23:25) Shammah the
Ḥaroḏite, Eliqa the Ḥaroḏite, (2Sa 23:26) Ḥelets the Paltite, Ira son of Iqqĕsh the Teqowite, (2Sa 23:27)
Aḇiʽezer the Anethothite, Meḇunnai the Ḥushathite, (2Sa 23:28) Tsalmon the Aḥoḥite, Maharai the
Netophathite, (2Sa 23:29) Ḥĕleḇ son of Baʽanah the Netophathite, Ittai son of Riḇai from Giḇʽah of the
children of Binyamin, (2Sa 23:30) Benayahu the Pirathonite, Hiddai from the wadis of Gaʽash, (2Sa 23:31)
Aḇi-Alḇon the Arbathite, Azmaweth the Barḥumite, (2Sa 23:32) Elyaḥba the Shaʽalbonite of the sons of
Yashĕn, Yehonathan, (2Sa 23:33) Shammah the Hararite, Aḥyam son of Sharar the Hararite, (2Sa 23:34)
Eliphelet son of Aḥasbai, son of the Maʽaḵathite, Eliyam son of Aḥithophel the Gilonite, (2Sa 23:35) Ḥetsrai
the Karmelite, Paʽarai the Arbite, (2Sa 23:36) Yiḡ’al son of Nathan of Tsoḇah, Bani the Gaḏite, (2Sa 23:37)
Tseleq the Ammonite, Naḥarai the Be’ĕrothite, armor-bearer of Yo’aḇ son of Tseruyah, (2Sa 23:38) Ira the
Yithrite, Garĕḇ the Yithrite, (2Sa 23:39) and Uriyah the Ḥittite – thirty-seven in all. (2Sa 24:1) And again the
displeasure of יהוה burned against Yisra’ĕl, and moved Dawiḏ against them to say, “Go, number Yisra’ĕl
and Yehuḏah.” (2Sa 24:2)
And the sovereign said to Yo’aḇ the commander of the army who was with him, “Go please, throughout all
the tribes of Yisra’ĕl, from Dan to Be’ĕrsheḇa, and register the people, so that I know the number of the
people.” (2Sa 24:3) And Yo’aḇ said to the sovereign, “Even if יהוה your Elohim does add to the people a
hundredfold more than there are, and the eyes of my master the sovereign see it, but why does my master
the sovereign delight in this matter?” (2Sa 24:4) However, the sovereign’s word prevailed against Yo’aḇ
and against the commanders of the army. And Yo’aḇ and the commanders of the army went out from the
presence of the sovereign to register the people of Yisra’ĕl. (2Sa 24:5) And they passed over the Yardĕn
and camped in Aroʽĕr, on the right side of the town which is in the midst of the wadi of Gaḏ, and toward
Yaʽzĕr. (2Sa 24:6) Then they came to Gilʽaḏ and to the land of Taḥtim Ḥoḏshi, and they came to Dan Yaʽan
and around to Tsiḏon. (2Sa 24:7) And they came to the stronghold of Tsor and to all the cities of the
Ḥiwwites and the Kenaʽanites, and went out to South Yehuḏah as far as Be’ĕrsheḇa. (2Sa 24:8) And when
they had gone through all the land, they came to Yerushalayim at the end of nine months and twenty days.
(2Sa 24:9) And Yo’aḇ gave the number of the registration of the people to the sovereign, and there were in
Yisra’ĕl eight hundred thousand brave men who drew the sword, and the men of Yehuḏah were five
hundred thousand men. (2Sa 24:10) And the heart of Dawiḏ smote him after he had numbered the people.
And Dawiḏ said to יהוה, “I have sinned greatly in what I have done. But now, I pray, O יהוה, take away the
crookedness of Your servant, for I have done very foolishly.” (2Sa 24:11) And Dawiḏ rose up in
the morning, and the word of יהוה came to the prophet Gaḏ, Dawiḏ’s seer, saying, (2Sa 24:12) “Go, and you
shall speak to Dawiḏ, ‘Thus said יהוה, “I hold three options before you. Choose one of them, and I do it to
you.” ’ ” (2Sa 24:13) Gaḏ then came to Dawiḏ and informed him. And he said to him, “Should seven years
of scarcity of food come to you in your land? Or would you flee three months before your enemies, while
they pursue you? Or should there be three days’ plague in your land? Now know and see what answer I
take back to Him who sent me.” (2Sa 24:14) And Dawiḏ said to Gaḏ, “I am in great trouble. Please let us
fall into the hand of יהוה, for His compassion is great, but do not let me fall into the hand of man.” (2Sa 24:
15) And יהוה sent a plague upon Yisra’ĕl from the morning till the appointed time, and from Dan to Be’
ĕrsheḇa seventy thousand men of the people died. (2Sa 24:16) And the messenger stretched out His
hand over Yerushalayim to destroy it, and יהוה relented concerning the evil, and said to the messenger who
was destroying the people, “It is enough, now stop your hand.” And the messenger of יהוה was by the
threshing-floor of Arawnah the Yeḇusite. (2Sa 24:17)
And Dawiḏ spoke to יהוה when he saw the messenger who was smiting the people, and id, “See, I have
sinned, and I have done perversely. But these sheep, what have they done? Let your hand, I pray, be
against me and against my father’s house.” (2Sa 24:18) And Gaḏ came that day to Dawiḏ and said to him,
“Go up, raise an altar to יהוה on the threshing-floor of Arawnah the Yeḇusite.” (2Sa 24:19) And Dawiḏ,
according to the word of Gaḏ, went up as יהוה commanded. (2Sa 24:20) And Arawnah looked and saw the
sovereign and his servants coming toward him. And Arawnah went out and bowed before the sovereign
with his face to the ground. (2Sa 24:21) And Arawnah said, “Why has my master the sovereign come to his
servant?”
And Dawiḏ said, “To buy the threshing-floor from you, to build an altar to יהוה, so that the plague be
withdrawn from the people.” (2Sa 24:22) And Arawnah said to Dawiḏ, “Let my master the sovereign take
and offer that which seems good to him. Here are cattle for burnt offering, and threshing implements and
the yokes of the cattle for wood. (2Sa 24:23) “All these, O sovereign, Arawnah has given to the sovereign.”
And Arawnah said to the sovereign, “יהוה your Elohim accept you!” (2Sa 24:24) And the sovereign said to
Arawnah, “No, let me buy it from you for a price, for certain. I am not offering burnt offerings to יהוה my
Elohim without cost.” So Dawiḏ bought the threshing-floor and the cattle for fifty sheqels of silver. (2Sa 24:
25) And Dawiḏ built an altar to יהוה there, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. And יהוה
answered the prayers for the land, and the plague was withdrawn from Yisra’ĕl.
(Heb 3:7) Therefore, as the Set-apart Spirit says, “Today, if you hear His voice,(Heb 3:8) do not harden your
hearts as in the rebellion, in the day of trial in the wilderness, (Heb 3:9) where your fathers tried me, proved
me, and saw my works forty years. (Heb 3:10) “Therefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, ‘they
always go astray in their heart, and they have not known my ways.’ (Heb 3:11) “As I swore in my wrath, ‘If
they shall enter into my rest...’ ”1 Footnote: 1Ps. 95:7-11. (Heb 3:12) Look out, brothers, lest there be in any
of you a wicked heart of unbelief in falling away from the living Elohim, (Heb 3:13) but encourage one
another daily, while it is called “Today,” lest any of you be hardened by the deceivableness of sin. (Heb 3:
14) For we have become partakers of Messiah if we hold fast the beginning of our trust firm to the end,
(Heb 3:15) while it is said, “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.” (Heb
3:16) For whom, having heard, rebelled? Was it not all who came out of Mitsrayim, led by Mosheh? (Heb 3:
17) And with who was He grieved forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose corpses fell in the
wilderness? (Heb 3:18) And to whom did He swear that they would not enter into His rest, but to
those who did not obey? (Heb 3:19) So we see that they were unable to enter in because of unbelief.
Loved one, we too must enter in to His rest by ridding ourselves of our unbelief! This will require
fasting and prayer on my and your parts as we approach the Day of Jacob’s Trouble. We should take notice
that YHWH has revealed these troubles and expects us to be in repentance (Sackcloth and ashes),
forgiving and being forgiven and walking in obedience! (Joe 1:11) The farmers are ashamed; the
vinedressers wail over the wheat and over the barley, for the harvest of the field is destroyed. (Joe 1:12)
The vine has dried up, and the fig tree droops, pomegranate, also palm, and apple tree, all the trees of the
field are dried up, because joy has dried up among the sons of men. (Joe 1:13) Gird yourselves and
lament, you priests. Wail, you attendants of the altar, come and lie all night in sackcloth, you attendants of
my Elohim. For the grain offering and the drink offering are withheld from the house of your Elohim. (Joe 2:
12) “Yet even now,” declares יהוה, “turn to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and
with mourning.” (Joe 2:13) And tear your heart and not your garments, and turn back to יהוה your Elohim, for
He shows favor and is compassionate, patient, and of great kindness, and He shall relent concerning the
evil. (Joe 2:14) Who knows – He might turn and relent, and leave a blessing behind Him, a grain offering
and a drink offering for יהוה your Elohim? (Joe 2:15)
Blow a ram’s horn in Tsiyon, set apart a fast, and call an assembly. (Joe 2:16) Gather the people, set the
assembly apart, assemble the elders, and gather the children and nursing babes. Let a bridegroom come
out from his room, and a bride from her dressing room. (Joe 2:17) Let the priests, servants of יהוה, weep
between the porch and the altar. And let them say, “Spare your people, O יהוה, and do not give your
inheritance to reproach, for the gentiles to rule over them. Why should they say among the peoples, ‘Where
is their Elohim?’ ” (Joe 2:18) And let יהוה be jealous for His land, and spare His people. (Joe 1:14) Set
apart a fast. Call an assembly, gather the elders, all the inhabitants of the land, into the House of יהוה your
Elohim, and cry out to יהוה. (Joe 1:15)
Alas for the day! The day of יהוה is near, and it comes as destruction from the Almighty. (Joe 1:16) Is not the
food cut off before our eyes, joy and gladness from the House of our Elohim? (Joe 2:21) Do not fear O soil,
be glad and rejoice, for יהוה has done greatly! (Joe 2:22) Do not fear, you beasts of the field, for the
pastures of the wilderness shall spring forth, and the tree shall bear its fruit, the fig tree and the vine shall
yield their strength. (Joe 2:23) And you children of Tsiyon, be glad and rejoice in יהוה your Elohim, for He
shall give you the Teacher of Righteousness, and cause the rain to come down for you, the former rain and
the latter rain, as before.
Loved ones, we can see from the above promises to His children- we are to rejoice! We have the promised
early and latter rain outpouring of His Spirit coming! (Joe 2:27) “And you shall know that I am in the
midst of Yisra’ĕl1, and that I am יהוה your Elohim and there is no one else. And my people shall never be

flesh. And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men dream dreams, your young men
see visions. (Joe 2:29) “And also on the male servants and on the female servants I shall pour out My
Spirit in those days. (Joe 2:30) “And I shall give signs in the heavens and upon the earth: blood and fire
and columns of smoke, (Joe 2:31) the sun is turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the
coming of the great and awesome day of יהוה. (Joe 2:32) “And it shall be that everyone who calls on the
Name of יהוה shall be delivered1.
On Mount Tsiyon and in Yerushalayim there shall be an escape2 as יהוה has said, and among

compassion has caused us to be born again to a living expectation through the resurrection of יהושע
Messiah from the dead, (1Pe 1:4) to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and unfading, having been
kept in the heavens for you, (1Pe 1:5) who are protected by the power of Elohim through belief, for a
deliverance ready to be revealed in the last time, (1Pe 1:6) in which you exult, even though for a little while,
if need be, you have been grieved by manifold trials, (1Pe 1:7) in order that the proving of your belief –
much more precious than gold that perishes, and proven by fire – might be found to result in praise and
respect and esteem at the revelation of יהושע Messiah, (1Pe 1:8) whom having not seen, you love; in whom
you exult with unspeakable and esteemed joy, yet not seeing, but believing,(1Pe 1:9) obtaining the goal of
your belief (faith): a deliverance of lives.
