Shabbat Shalom Loved One!

Those of us who may be wondering what is going on in the world just now; (for our South African brothers
and sisters- going on in our world JUST NOW- NOW; meaning as we read today) consider adding the Book
of Joel (3 Chapters) to your reading sometime this week. Last week we read about the order in the camp by
numbering and placing the camp in their respective places! Num 1:17) And Mosheh and Aharon took these
men who were called by name, (Num 1:18) and they assembled the entire congregation together on the first
day of the second month. And they declared their ancestry by clans, by their fathers’ houses, according to the
number of names, from twenty years old and above, each one head by head. (Num 1:19)

As יהוה commanded Mosheh, so he registered them in the Wilderness of Sinai.  (Num 1:44)  These were
those registered, whom Mosheh and Aharon registered, with the leaders of Yisra’ĕl, twelve men, each one
for his father’s house. (Num 1:45)  And all those that were registered of the children of Yisra’ĕl, by their
fathers’ houses, from twenty years old and above, everyone going out to the army in Yisra’ĕl, (Num 1:46)  all
those that were registered were six hundred and three thousand five hundred and fifty. (Num 1:47)  But the
Lĕwites were not registered among them by their fathers’ tribe, (Num 1:48) because יהוה had spoken to
Mosheh, saying, (Num 1:49) “Only the tribe of Lĕwi you do not register, nor take a census of them among the
children of Yisra’ĕl. (Num 1:50)

“Instead, appoint the Lĕwites over the Dwelling Place of the Witness, over all its furnishings, and over all that
belongs to it. They bear the Dwelling Place and all its furnishings, and they attend to it, and camp around the
Dwelling Place. (Num 1:51)  “And when the Dwelling Place is to go forward, the Lĕwites take it down. And
when the Dwelling Place is to be set up, the Lĕwites set it up. And the stranger who comes near is put to
death. (Num 1:52)  “And the children of Yisra’ĕl shall pitch their tents, everyone by his own camp, everyone
by his own banner, according to their divisions, (Num 1:53) but let the Lĕwites camp around the Dwelling
Place of the Witness, so that there be no wrath on the congregation of the children of Yisra’ĕl. And the
Lĕwites shall guard the duty of the Dwelling Place of the Witness.” (Num 1:54)  And the children of Yisra’ĕl
did according to all that יהוה commanded Mosheh, so they did. (Num 2:1)  And יהוה spoke to Mosheh and to
Aharon, saying, (Num 2:2) “The children of Yisra’ĕl are to camp, each one by his own banner, beside the
sign of his father’s house. Let them camp around the Tent of Meeting at a distance.” All who were registered
according to their divisions of the camps: six hundred and three thousand five hundred and fifty. (Num 2:33)

But the Lĕwites were not registered among the children of Yisra’ĕl, as יהוה commanded Mosheh. (Num
2:34)  And the children of Yisra’ĕl did according to all that יהוה commanded Mosheh. So they camped by their
banners and so they departed, each one by his clan, according to their fathers’ houses. (Num 3:5)  And יהוה
spoke to Mosheh, saying, (Num 3:6)  “Bring the tribe of Lĕwi near, and set them before Aharon the priest,
and they shall serve him, (Num 3:7)  and shall guard his duty and the duty of all the congregation before the
Tent of Meeting, to do the service of the Dwelling Place. (Num 3:8)  “And they shall guard all the furnishings
of the Tent of Meeting, and the duty of the children of Yisra’ĕl, to do the service of the Dwelling Place. (Num 3:
9)  “And you shall give the Lĕwites to Aharon and his sons. They are the given ones, given to him from
among the children of Yisra’ĕl. (Num 3:10)  “And appoint Aharon and his sons, and they shall guard their
priesthood. And the stranger who comes near shall be put to death.” (Num 3:11)  And יהוה spoke to Mosheh,
saying, (Num 3:12)

“Now look, I myself have taken the Lĕwites from among the children of Yisra’ĕl instead of every first-
born who opens the womb among the children of Yisra’ĕl. The Lĕwites shall be mine, (Num 3:13) because
all the first-born are mine. On the day that I struck all the first-born in the land of Mitsrayim, I set apart to
myself all the first-born in Yisra’ĕl, both man and beast. They are Mine, I am יהוה.” (Num 3:14)  And יהוה
spoke to Mosheh in the Wilderness of Sinai, saying, (Num 3:15) “Register the children of Lĕwi by their
fathers’ houses, by their clans. Register every male from a month old and above.” (Num 3:16)  So Mosheh
registered them according to the word of יהוה, as he had been commanded. We also read why Yahshua
served His 70 week ministry starting at age 30! (Num 4:1)  And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, and to Aharon, saying,
(Num 4:2)

“Take a census of the sons of Qehath from among the children of Lĕwi, by their clans, by their fathers’
house, (Num 4:3)  from thirty years old and above, even to fifty years old, all who enter the service to do the
work in the Tent of Meeting. With those reminders in mind, let’s turn our hearts and minds to this week’s
Scriptures: (John 6:47) “Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in me possesses everlasting life. (John 6:
48)  “I am the bread of life. (John 6:49)  “Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness and they died. (John 6:
50)  “This is the bread which comes down out of the heaven, so that anyone might eat of it, and not
die. (John 6:51)  “I am the living bread which came down out of the heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he
shall live forever. And indeed, the bread that I shall give is my flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world.”
Let’s eat!

This week’s Torah Scriptures: Naso: Accounting, Elevate
Numbers 4:21-7:89; Judges 13:2-25; Acts 1:8-2:33 (Shavuot);
2 Samuel Chapters 16, and 17

(Num 4:21)  And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying, (Num 4:22) “Take a census also of the sons of Gĕreshon, by
their fathers’ house, by their clans. (Num 4:23)  “Register them, from thirty years old and above, even to fifty
years old, all who enter to perform the service, to do the service in the Tent of Meeting. (Num 4:24)  “This is
the service of the clans of the Gĕreshonites, in serving and in bearing burdens: (Num 4:25)  “And they shall
bear the curtains of the Dwelling Place and the Tent of Meeting with its covering, the covering of fine leather
that is on it, the covering for the door of the Tent of Meeting, (Num 4:26)  and the screens of the courtyard and
the covering for the door of the gate of the courtyard, which is around the Dwelling Place and altar, and their
cords, all the equipment for their service and all that is made for them – so shall they serve. (Num 4:27)

“Aharon and his sons are to command all the service of the sons of the Gĕreshonites, their entire burden
and all their service. And you shall appoint to them all the duty of their entire burden. (Num 4:28)  “This is the
service of the clans of the sons of Gĕreshon in the Tent of Meeting. And let their duties be under the hand of
Ithamar, son of Aharon the priest. (Num 4:29)  “As for the sons of Merari, register them by their clans and by
their fathers’ house. (Num 4:30)  “Register them, from thirty years old and above, even to fifty years old, all
who enter the service to do the work of the Tent of Meeting. (Num 4:31)  “And this is the duty of their burden,
according to all their service for the Tent of Meeting: the boards of the Dwelling Place, and its bars, and its
columns, and its sockets, (Num 4:32) and the columns around the courtyard with their sockets, and their
pegs, and their cords, with all their equipment and all their service. And assign to each by name the
equipment of the duty of their burden. (Num 4:33)

“This is the service of the clans of the sons of Merari, as all their service for the Tent of Meeting, under the
hand of Ithamar, son of Aharon the priest.” (Num 4:34)  So Mosheh and Aharon and the leaders of the
congregation registered the sons of the Qehathites by their clans and by their fathers’ house, (Num 4:35)
from thirty years old and above, even to fifty years old, all who entered the service for work in the Tent of
Meeting. (Num 4:36)  And their registered ones, by their clans, were two thousand seven hundred and fifty.
(Num 4:37)  These were the registered ones of the clans of the Qehathites, all those serving in the Tent of
Meeting, whom Mosheh and Aharon registered according to the command of יהוה by the hand of Mosheh.
(Num 4:38)  And those registered ones of the sons of Gĕreshon, by their clans and by their fathers’ house,
(Num 4:39) from thirty years old and above, even to fifty years old, all who entered the service for work in the
Tent of Meeting, (Num 4:40) the registered ones, by their clans, by their fathers’ house, were two thousand
six hundred and thirty. (Num 4:41)

These were the registered ones of the clans of the sons of Gĕreshon, of all who serve in the Tent
of Meeting, whom Mosheh and Aharon registered according to the command of יהוה. (Num 4:42)  And those
of the clans of the sons of Merari who were registered, by their clans, by their fathers’ house, (Num 4:43)
from thirty years old and above, even to fifty years old, all who entered the service for work in the Tent of
Meeting, (Num 4:44)  the registered ones, by their clans were three thousand two hundred. (Num 4:45)
These were the registered ones of the clans of the sons of Merari, whom Mosheh and Aharon registered
according to the command of יהוה by the hand of Mosheh. (Num 4:46)  All the registered ones of the Lĕwites,
whom Mosheh and Aharon and the leaders of Yisra’ĕl registered, by their clans and by their fathers’ houses,
(Num 4:47) from thirty years old and above, even to fifty years old, all who came to do the work of service and
the work of bearing burdens in the Tent of Meeting, (Num 4:48) their registered ones were eight thousand
five hundred and eighty. (Num 4:49)  According to the command of יהוה they were registered by the hand of
Mosheh, each according to his service and according to his burden, thus were they registered by
him, as יהוה commanded Mosheh.

Sin and cleaning up the camp!

(Num 5:1)  And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying, (Num 5:2) “Command the children of Yisra’ĕl to send out of
the camp every leper, and everyone who has a discharge, and whoever becomes defiled1 for a being.
Footnote: 1Defilement can be imparted from one to another. (Num 5:3)  “Send out both male and female,
send them outside the camp, so that they do not defile their camps in the midst of which I dwell.” (Num 5:4)
And the children of Yisra’ĕl did so, to send them outside the camp. As יהוה had spoken to Mosheh, so the
children of Yisra’ĕl did. (Num 5:5)  And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying, (Num 5:6)  “Speak to the children of
Yisra’ĕl, ‘When a man or woman commits any sin that men commit in trespass against יהוה, and that being
is guilty, (Num 5:7)  then they shall confess their sin which they have done. And he shall restore his guilt in
its principal, plus one-fifth of it, and give it to who he has been guilty. (Num 5:8)  ‘But if the man has no
relative to restore the guilt to, the guilt which is restored goes to יהוה, for the priest, in addition to the ram of
the atonement with which atonement is made for him. (Num 5:9)  ‘And every contribution of all the set-apart
gifts of the children of Yisra’ĕl, which they bring to the priest, becomes his. (Num 5:10)  ‘And every man’s set-
apart gifts become his, whatever any man gives the priest becomes his.’

Yahshua took the price for the whoring wife (Israel) and took the bitter herbs!

(Num 5:11)  And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying, (Num 5:12) “Speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, and say to
them, ‘When any man’s wife turns aside and has committed a trespass against him, (Num 5:13)  and
a man has intercourse with her, and it is hidden from the eyes of her husband, and it is concealed that she
has defiled herself, and there was no witness against her, nor was she caught, (Num 5:14)  and a spirit of
jealousy comes upon him and he becomes jealous of his wife who has defiled herself, or a spirit
of jealousy comes upon him and he becomes jealous of his wife although she has not defiled herself,
(Num 5:15)  then the man shall bring his wife to the priest. And he shall bring the offering for her, one-tenth
of an ĕphah of barley flour. He is not to pour oil on it or put frankincense on it, because it is a grain offering of
jealousy, an offering for remembering, for bringing crookedness to remembrance. (Num 5:16)

‘And the priest shall bring her near, and shall make her stand before יהוה. (Num 5:17)  ‘And the priest shall
take set-apart water in an earthen vessel, and take some of the dust that is on the floor of the Dwelling Place
and put it into the water. (Num 5:18)  ‘And the priest shall make the woman stand before יהוה, and shall
uncover the woman’s head, and put the offering for remembering in her hands, which is the grain offering of
jealousy, while the priest holds in his hand the bitter water that brings a curse. (Num 5:19)  ‘And the priest
shall make her swear, and say to the woman, “If no man has lain with you, and if you have not turned aside
to uncleanness under your husband’s authority, be free from this bitter water that brings a curse. (Num
5:20)  “But if you have turned aside under your husband’s authority, and if you have defiled yourself and
some man other than your husband has lain with you” – (Num 5:21)  then the priest shall make the woman
swear with the oath of the curse, and he shall say to the woman – “יהוה make you a curse and an oath
among your people, when יהוה makes your thigh waste away and your belly swell, (Num 5:22)  and this
water that causes the curse shall go into your inward parts, and make your belly swell and your thigh waste
away.” And the woman shall say, “Amĕn, amĕn.” (Num 5:23)

‘And the priest shall write these curses in a book, and shall wipe them off into the bitter water, (Num 5:24)
and shall make the woman drink the bitter water that brings the curse, and the water that brings the curse
shall enter her to become bitter. (Num 5:25)  ‘And the priest shall take the grain offering of jealousy from the
woman’s hand, and shall wave the offering before יהוה, and bring it to the altar. (Num 5:26)  ‘And the priest
shall take a hand filled with the offering, as its remembrance offering, and burn it on the altar, and afterward
make the woman drink the water. (Num 5:27)  ‘And when he has made her drink the water, then it shall be, if
she has defiled herself and has committed a trespass against her husband, that the water that brings the
curse shall enter her and become bitter, and her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall waste away, and the
woman shall become a curse among her people. (Num 5:28)  ‘But if the woman has not defiled herself, and
is clean, then she shall be clear and shall conceive children. (Num 5:29)  ‘This is the Torah of jealousy,
when a wife turns aside under her husband’s authority and defiles herself, (Num 5:30)  or when a spirit of
jealousy comes upon a man, and he becomes jealous of his wife. Then he shall make the woman stand
before יהוה, and the priest shall do to her all this Torah. (Num 5:31)  ‘And the man shall be clear from
crookedness, but the woman bears her crookedness.’ ”

(Num 6:1)  And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying, (Num 6:2) “Speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, and say to them,
‘When a man or woman does separate, by making a vow of a Nazirite, to be separate to יהוה, (Num 6:3) he
separates himself from wine and strong drink – he drinks neither vinegar of wine nor vinegar of strong drink,
neither does he drink any grape juice, nor eat grapes or raisins. (Num 6:4)  ‘The entire days of his
separation he does not eat whatever is made of the grapevine; from seed to skin. (Num 6:5)  ‘All the days of
the vow of his separation a razor does not come upon his head. Until the days are completed for which he
does separate himself to יהוה, he is set-apart. He shall let the locks of the hair of his head grow long. (Num
6:6)  ‘All the days of his separation to יהוה he does not go near a dead body. (Num 6:7)  ‘He does not make
himself unclean for his father, or for his mother, for his brother or his sister, when they die, because his
separation to Elohim is on his head. (Num 6:8)

‘All the days of his separation he is set-apart to יהוה. (Num 6:9)  ‘And when anyone dies beside him in an
instant, suddenly, and he has defiled the head of his separation, then he shall shave his head on the day of
his cleansing – on the seventh day he shaves it. (Num 6:10)  ‘And on the eighth day he brings two
turtledoves or two young pigeons to the priest, to the door of the Tent of Meeting, (Num 6:11)  and the priest
shall prepare one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering, and shall make atonement for him,
because he sinned by reason of the dead body. And he shall set apart his head on that day, (Num 6:12) and
shall separate to יהוה the days of his separation, and shall bring a male lamb a year old, as a guilt offering.
But the former days are not counted, because his separation was defiled. (Num 6:13)  ‘And this is the Torah
of the Nazirite: When the days of his separation are completed, he is brought to the door of the Tent of
Meeting, (Num 6:14)  and he shall bring his offering to יהוה: one male lamb a year old, a perfect one, as a
burnt offering, and one ewe lamb a year old, a perfect one, as a sin offering, and one ram, a perfect one,
as a peace offering, (Num 6:15)  and a basket of unleavened bread, cakes of fine flour mixed with oil, and
unleavened thin cakes anointed with oil, and their grain offering with their drink offerings. (Num 6:16)

‘And the priest shall bring them before יהוה and prepare his sin offering and his burnt offering. (Num 6:17)
‘And he shall prepare the ram as a peace offering to יהוה, together with the basket of unleavened bread. And
the priest shall prepare its grain offering and its drink offering. (Num 6:18)  ‘And the Nazirite shall shave the
head of his separation at the door of the Tent of Meeting, and shall take the hair from the head of his
separation and shall put it on the fire which is under the slaughtering of the peace offering. (Num 6:19)  ‘And
the priest shall take the boiled shoulder of the ram, and one unleavened cake from the basket, and one
unleavened thin cake, and put them upon the hands of the Nazirite after he has shaved his hair of
separation. (Num 6:20)  ‘Then the priest shall wave them, a wave offering before יהוה. It is set-apart for the
priest, besides the breast of the wave offering and besides the thigh of the contribution. And afterwards the
Nazirite shall drink wine.’ (Comment: Yahshua will drink again with us in the Sabbath 1000
year millennium!) (Num 6:21)  “This is the Torah of the Nazirite who vows to יהוה the offering for his
separation, and besides that, whatever else his hand is able to provide. According to the vow which he
takes, so he shall do according to the Torah of his separation.”

Aaronic blessings commanded by YHWH!

(Num 6:22)  And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying, (Num 6:23) “Speak to Aharon and his sons, saying, ‘this is
how you bless the children of Yisra’ĕl. Say to them: (Num 6:24) “יהוה bless you and guard you; (Num 6:25)
יהוה make His face shine upon you, and show favor to you; (Num 6:26) יהוה lift up His face upon you,
and give you peace.” ’ Footnote: Verses 24 to 26 is the Priestly Blessing. (Num 6:27)  “Thus they shall put My
Name on the children of Yisra’ĕl, and I Myself shall bless them.”

Offerings to YHWH for the Levites!

(Num 7:1)  And it came to be, when Mosheh finished setting up the Dwelling Place, that he anointed it and
set it apart and all its furnishings, as well as the altar and all its utensils. Thus he anointed them and set
them apart. (Num 7:2)  And the leaders of Yisra’ĕl, heads of their fathers’ houses who were the leaders of
the tribes and over the ones registered, drew near, (Num 7:3)  and they brought their offering before יהוה: six
covered wagons and twelve cattle, a wagon for every two of the leaders, and for each one a bull. And they
brought them near before the Dwelling Place. (Num 7:4)  And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying, (Num 7:5)
“Accept these from them, and they shall be used in doing the service of the Tent of Meeting. And you shall
give them to the Lĕwites, each one according to his service.” (Num 7:6)  And Mosheh took the wagons and
the cattle, and gave them to the Lĕwites. (Num 7:7)  He gave two wagons and four cattle to the sons of
Gĕreshon, according to their service. (Num 7:8)  And he gave four wagons and eight cattle to the sons of
Merari, according to their service, under the hand of Ithamar, son of Aharon the priest. (Num 7:9)  But to the
sons of Qehath he gave none, because theirs was the service of the set-apart objects, which they bore on
their shoulders. (Num 7:10)

And the leaders brought the dedication offering of the altar in the day it was anointed. So the leaders brought
their offering before the altar. (Num 7:11)  And יהוה said to Mosheh, “Let them bring their offering, one leader
each day, for the dedication of the altar.” (Num 7:12)  And the one who brought his offering on the first day
was Naḥshon, son of Amminaḏaḇ, from the tribe of Yehuḏah. (Num 7:13)  And his offering was one silver

On the seventh day Elishama, son of Ammihuḏ, leader of the children of Ephrayim: (Num 7:49)  his offering

offering; (Num 7:70)  one male goat as a sin offering; (Num 7:71)  and as a peace offering: two cattle, five
rams, five male goats, five male lambs a year old. This was the offering of Aḥiʽezer, son of Ammishaddai.
(Num 7:72)

On the eleventh day Paḡʽi’ĕl, son of Oḵran, leader of the children of Ashĕr: (Num 7:73)  his offering was one
silver dish, the weight of which was one hundred and thirty sheqels, one silver bowl of seventy sheqels,
according to the sheqel of the set-apart place, both of them filled with fine flour mixed with oil as a grain
offering; (Num 7:74)  one gold ladle of ten sheqels, filled with incense; (Num 7:75)  one young bull, one ram,
one male lamb a year old, as a burnt offering; (Num 7:76)  one male goat as a sin offering;(Num 7:77)  and
as a peace offering: two cattle, five rams, five male goats, five male lambs a year old. This was the
offering of Paḡʽi’ĕl, son of Oḵran. (Num 7:78)  On the twelfth day Aḥira, son of Ěnan, leader of the children of
Naphtali: (Num 7:79)  his offering was one silver dish, the weight of which was one hundred and thirty
sheqels, one silver bowl of seventy sheqels, according to the sheqel of the set-apart place, both of them

one male goat as a sin offering; (Num 7:83)  and as a peace offering: two cattle, five rams, five male goats,
five male lambs a year old.

This was the offering of Aḥira, son of Ěnan. (Num 7:84)  This was the dedication of the altar from the leaders
of Yisra’ĕl, when it was anointed: twelve silver dishes, twelve silver bowls, twelve gold ladles. (Num 7:85)
Each silver dish was one hundred and thirty sheqels and each bowl seventy sheqels. All the silver of the
vessels was two thousand four hundred sheqels, according to the sheqel of the set-apart place. (Num

were twenty-four bulls, the rams sixty, the male goats sixty, the lambs a year old sixty. This was the
dedication of the altar after it was anointed. (Num 7:89)  And when Mosheh went into the Tent of Meeting to
speak with Him, he heard the voice of one speaking to him from above the lid of atonement that was on the
ark of the Witness, from between the two keruḇim. Thus He spoke to him.

This Nazirite Vow is life-long! Perhaps this is Yahshua- Messenger of YHWH!

(Judges 13:2)  And there was a certain man from Tsorʽah, of the clan of the Danites, whose name as
Manowaḥ. And his wife was barren and had not borne. (Judges 13:3)  And a Messenger of יהוה appeared to
the woman and said to her, “See now, you are barren and have not borne, but you shall conceive, and you
shall bear a son. (Judges 13:4)  “And now, please guard, and do not drink wine or strong drink, and do not
eat any unclean food. (Judges 13:5)  “For look, you are conceiving and bearing a son. And let no razor come
upon his head, for the youth is a Nazirite to Elohim from the womb on. And he shall begin to save Yisra’
ĕl out of the hand of the Philistines.” (Judges 13:6)  And the woman came and spoke to her husband,
saying, “A Man of Elohim came to me, and His appearance was like the appearance of a Messenger of
Elohim, very awesome. But I did not ask Him where He was from, and He did not declare to me His name.
(Judges 13:7)  “And He said to me, ‘See, you are conceiving and bearing a son. And now, drink no wine or
strong drink, nor eat any unclean food, for the youth is a Nazirite to Elohim from the womb to the day of his
death.’ ” (Judges 13:8) And Manowaḥ prayed to יהוה, and said, “O יהוה, please let the Man of Elohim whom
you sent come to us again and teach us what to do for the youth who is to be born.” (Judges 13:9)  And
Elohim listened to the voice of Manowaḥ, and the Messenger of Elohim came to the woman again as she
was sitting in the field, but Manowaḥ her husband was not with her. (Judges 13:10)  And the woman ran
hurriedly and informed her husband, and said to him, “See, He has appeared to me, the Man who came to
me the other day!” (Judges 13:11)

And Manowaḥ arose and went after his wife, and came to the Man, and he said to Him, “Are You the
Man who spoke to this woman?” And He said, “I am.” (Judges 13:12)  And Manowaḥ said, “Now let your
words come true! What is to be the rule for the youth’s life and his work?” (Judges 13:13)  And the
Messenger of יהוה said to Manowaḥ, “Let the woman guard all that I said to her. (Judges 13:14)  “Let her not
eat any food that comes from the vine, neither let her drink wine or strong drink, or eat any unclean food. Let
her guard all that which I have commanded her.” (Judges 13:15)  And Manowaḥ said to the Messenger of
יהוה, “Please let us detain you, and prepare a young goat for you.” (Judges 13:16)  And the Messenger of יהוה
said to Manowaḥ, “Though you detain Me, I do not eat your food. But if you offer a burnt offering, offer it
to יהוה.” For Manowaḥ did not know He was a Messenger of יהוה. (Judges 13:17)  Then Manowaḥ said to the
Messenger of יהוה, “What is your name? When your words come true, then we shall esteem you.” (Judges
13:18)  And the Messenger of יהוה said to him, “Why do you ask my name, since it is wondrous?” (Judges 13:
19)  And Manowaḥ took the young goat with the grain offering, and offered it upon the rock to יהוה. And He did
wondrously while Manowaḥ and his wife looked on. (Judges 13:20)  And it came to be, as the flame went up
toward the heavens from the altar that the Messenger of יהוה went up in the flame of the altar. And Manowaḥ
and his wife were watching, and they fell on their faces to the ground. (Judges 13:21)  And the Messenger of
יהוה did not appear any more to Manowaḥ and his wife. Then Manowaḥ knew that He was a Messenger of
יהוה. (Judges 13:22)  And Manowaḥ said to his wife, “We shall certainly die, because we have seen Elohim!”
(Judges 13:23)  But his wife said to him, “If יהוה had been pleased to put us to death, He would not have
accepted a burnt offering and a grain offering from our hands, nor would He have shown us all this, nor
would He have let us hear the like of this!” (Judges 13:24)  So the woman bore a son and called his name
Shimshon. And the child grew, and יהוה blessed him. (Judges 13:25)  And the Spirit of יהוה began to move
him at Maḥanĕh Dan, between Tsorʽah and Eshta’ol.

Shavuot! The anniversary of the giving of the Torah to Moses at Mt Sinai; and the giving of the Ruach
(Spirit) to walk it out on the same day! (1Jn 5:1)  Everyone who believes that יהושע is the Messiah has been
born of Elohim, and everyone who loves the One bringing forth also loves the one having been born of Him.

(1Jn 5:2)  By this we know that we love the children of Elohim, when we love Elohim and guard His
commands. (1Jn 5:3)  For this is the love for Elohim, that we guard His commands,1 and His commands
are not heavy (burdensome), Footnote: 1See 5:2, 2 John v. 6, John 14:15. (1Jn 5:4) because
everyone having been born of Elohim overcomes the world. And this is the overcoming that has overcome
the world: our belief. (1Jn 5:5)  Who is the one who overcomes the world but he who believes that יהושע is
the Son of Elohim? (1Jn 5:6)  This is the One that came by water and blood: יהושע Messiah, not only by
water, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is the Truth.

We must decrease to receive His power to walk out the Torah! Only then will our
witness produce fruit that will remain!

(Act 1:8)  “But you shall receive power when the Set-apart Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be my
witnesses in Yerushalayim, and in all Yehuḏah and Shomeron, and to the end of the earth.” (Act 1:9)  And
having said this, while they were looking on, He was taken up, and a cloud hid Him from their sight. (Act 1:
10)  And as they were gazing into the heaven as He went up, see, two men stood by them dressed in white,
(Act 1:11)  who also said, “Men of Galil, why do you stand looking up into the heaven? This same יהושע, who
was taken up from you into the heaven, shall come in the same way1 as you saw Him go into the heaven.”
Footnote: 1Zech. 14:4. (Act 1:12) Then they went back to Yerushalayim from the Mount of Olives, which is
near Yerushalayim, a Sabbath day’s journey. (Act 1:13)  And when they came in, they went up into the upper
room where they were staying: Kĕpha and Yaʽaqoḇ and Yoḥanan and Andri, Philip and T’oma, Bartholomi
and Mattithyahu, Yaʽaqoḇ the son of Alphai and Shimʽon the Zealot, and Yehuḏah the son of Yaʽaqoḇ. (Act 1:
14)  All these were continuing with one mind in prayer and supplication, with the women and Miryam the
mother of יהושע, and with His brothers. (Act 1:15)  And in those days Kĕpha, standing up in the midst of the
taught ones – and there was a gathering of about a hundred and twenty – said, (Act 1:16) “Men and brothers,
this Scripture had to be filled which the Set-apart Spirit spoke before by the mouth of Dawiḏ concerning
Yehuḏah, who became a guide to those who seized יהושע, (Act 1:17) because he was numbered with
us and did receive his share in this service.” (Act 1:18)  (This one, therefore, purchased a field with the
wages of unrighteousness, and falling forward, he burst open in the middle and all his intestines gushed
out. (Act 1:19)  And it became known to all those dwelling in Yerushalayim, so that in their own language that
field was called, Ḥaqal Dema, that is, Field of Blood). (Act 1:20)

“For it has been written in the Book of Psalms, ‘Let his dwelling lie waste, and let no one live in it,’ and, ‘Let
another take his office.’ (Act 1:21)  “It is therefore necessary that of the men who have been with us all the
time that the Master יהושע went in and out among us, (Act 1:22)  beginning from the immersion of
Yoḥanan to that day when He was taken up from us, that one of these should become a witness with us of
His resurrection.” (Act 1:23)  And they put forward two: Yosĕph called Barsabba, who was also called
Justus, and Mattithyahu. (Act 1:24)  And praying they said, “You, יהוה, who know the hearts of all, show which
one of these two You have chosen (Act 1:25)  to receive the share in this service and office of the emissary
from which Yehuḏah by transgression fell, to go to his own place.” (Act 1:26)  And they cast their lots, and the
lot fell on Mattithyahu. And he was numbered with the eleven emissaries. (Act 2:1)  And when the Day of the
Festival of Weeks had come, they were all with one mind in one place. (Act 2:2)  And suddenly there came a
sound from the heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting.
(Act 2:3)  And there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and settled on each one of them. (Act 2:4)
And they were all filled with the Set-apart Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave
them to speak. (Act 2:5)  Now in Yerushalayim there were dwelling Yehuḏim, dedicated men from every
nation under the heaven. (Act 2:6)  And when this sound came to be, the crowd came together, and was
confused, because everyone heard them speak in his own language. (Act 2:7)  And they were all amazed
and marveled, saying to each other, “Look, are not all these who speak Galileans? (Act 2:8)  “And how do we
hear, each one in our own language in which we were born? (Act 2:9)

“Parthians and Medes and Ěylamites, and those dwelling in Aram Naharayim, both Yehuḏah and
Kappadokia, Pontos and Asia, (Act 2:10) both Phrygia and Pamphulia, Mitsrayim and the parts of Libya
around Cyrene, visitors from Rome, both Yehuḏim and converts, (Act 2:11)  “Cretans and Araḇs, we hear
them speaking in our own tongues the great deeds of Elohim.” (Act 2:12)  And they were all amazed, and
were puzzled, saying to each other, “What does this mean?” (Act 2:13)  And others were mocking said, “They
have been filled with sweet wine.” (Act 2:14)  But Kĕpha, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice and
said to them, “Men of Yehuḏah and all those dwelling in Yerushalayim, let this be known to you, and listen
closely to my words. (Act 2:15)  “For these men are not drunk, as you imagine, since it is only the third
hour of the day. (Act 2:16)  “But this is what was spoken by the prophet Yo’ĕl: (Act 2:17) ‘And it shall be in the
last days, says Elohim, that I shall pour out of My Spirit on all flesh. And your sons and your daughters shall
prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams, (Act 2:18)
and also on My male servants and on My female servants I shall pour out My Spirit in those days, and they
shall prophesy. (Act 2:19)

‘And I shall show wonders in the heaven above and signs in the earth beneath: blood and fire and vapor of
smoke. (Act 2:20)  ‘The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming
of the great and splendid day of יהוה. (Act 2:21)  ‘And it shall be that everyone who calls on the Name of יהוה
shall be saved.’1 Footnote: 1Joell 2:28-32, Rom. 10:13. (Act 2:22)  “Men of Yisra’ĕl, hear these words: יהושע
of Natsareth, a Man from Elohim, having been pointed out to you by mighty works, and wonders, and signs
which Elohim did through Him in your midst, as you yourselves also know, (Act 2:23) this One, given up by
the set purpose and foreknowledge of Elohim, you have impaled and put to death through the hands of
lawless men –(Act 2:24)  “Him Elohim raised up, having loosed the pangs of death, because it was
impossible that He could be held in its grip.(Act 2:25)  “For Dawiḏ says concerning Him, ‘I saw יהוה before
me continually, because He is at my right hand, in order that I should not be shaken. (Act 2:26)  ‘For this
reason my heart rejoiced, and my tongue was glad, and now my flesh shall also rest in expectation, (Act 2:
27) because you shall not leave my being in the grave, nor shall You give Your Kind One to see corruption.
(Act 2:28)  ‘You have made known to me the ways of life, you shall fill me with joy in your presence.’1
Footnote: 1Ps. 16:8-11. (Act 2:29)  “Men and brothers, let me speak boldly to you of the ancestor Dawiḏ, that
he died and was buried,1 and his tomb is with us to this day. Footnote: 1See v. 34. (Act 2:30)  “Being a
prophet, then, and knowing that Elohim had sworn with an oath to him: of the fruit of his loins, according to
the flesh, to raise up the Messiah to sit on his throne, (Act 2:31) foreseeing this he spoke concerning the
resurrection of the Messiah, that His being was neither left in the grave, nor did His flesh see corruption. (Act
2:32)  “Elohim has risen up this יהושע, of which we are all witnesses. (Act 2:33)  “Therefore, having been
exalted to the right hand of Elohim, and having received from the Father the promise of the Set-apart Spirit,
He poured out this which you now see and hear.

The spy King David planted paid off as YHWH made the rebellious son; Absalom
listen to him!

(2Sa 16:1)  And Dawiḏ had passed on a little from the summit, and saw Tsiḇa the servant of Mephiḇosheth,
who met him with a couple of saddled donkeys, and on them two hundred loaves, and one hundred
cakes of raisins, and one hundred summer fruit, and a skin of wine. (2Sa 16:2)  And the sovereign said to
Tsiḇa, “Why do you have these?” And Tsiḇa said, “The donkeys are for the sovereign’s household to ride on,
and the bread and summer fruit for the young men to eat, and the wine for the wearied to drink in the
wilderness.” (2Sa 16:3)  And the sovereign said, “And where is the son of your master?” And Tsiḇa said to
the sovereign, “See, he remains in Yerushalayim, for he said, ‘Today the house of Yisra’ĕl is going to return
the reign of my father to me.’ ” (2Sa 16:4) and the sovereign said to Tsiḇa, “See, all that belongs to
Mephiḇosheth is yours.” And Tsiḇa said, “I have bowed myself, let me find favor in your eyes, my master, O
sovereign!” (2Sa 16:5)  And when Sovereign Dawiḏ came to Baḥurim he saw a man from the clan of the
house of Sha’ul, whose name was Shimʽi son of Gĕra, coming from there. He came out, cursing as he
came. (2Sa 16:6)  And he threw Dawiḏ with stones, and all the servants of Sovereign Dawiḏ. And all the
people and all the mighty men were on his right and on his left. (2Sa 16:7)  And this is what Shimʽi said as
he cursed, “Get out! Get out! O man of blood and man of Beliyaʽal! (2Sa 16:8)  “יהוה has brought upon you all
the blood of the house of Sha’ul, in whose place you have reigned. And יהוה has given the reign into
the hand of Aḇshalom your son. And see, you are in your own evil, for you are a man of blood!” (2Sa 16:9)
And Aḇishai son of Tseruyah said to the sovereign, “Why should this dead dog curse my master the
sovereign? Please, let me pass over and take off his head!” (2Sa 16:10)  And the sovereign said, “What
have I to do with you, you sons of Tseruyah? For let him curse, even because יהוה has said to him, ‘Curse
Dawiḏ.’ And who should say, ‘Why did you do that?’ ” (2Sa 16:11)

And Dawiḏ said to Aḇishai and all his servants, “See how my son who came from my own body seeks my
life, and how much more now this Binyamite? Leave him alone, and let him curse, for יהוה has spoken to
him. (2Sa 16:12)  “If so be, יהוה does look on my affliction, and יהוה shall return good to me for his cursing
today.” (2Sa 16:13)  And as Dawiḏ and his men went in the way, Shimʽi walked alongside him on the
hillside, and cursed as he went, and threw stones at him and kicked up dust. (2Sa 16:14)  And
the sovereign and all the people who were with him became weary, and they refreshed themselves there.
(2Sa 16:15)  And Aḇshalom and all the people, the men of Yisra’ĕl, came to Yerushalayim, and Aḥithophel
was with him. (2Sa 16:16)  And it came to be, when Ḥushai the Arkite, the friend of Dawiḏ, had come to
Aḇshalom, that Ḥushai said to Aḇshalom, “Let the sovereign live! Let the sovereign live!” (2Sa 16:17)  And
Aḇshalom said to Ḥushai, “Is this your kindness to your friend? Why did you not go with your friend?” (2Sa
16:18)  And Ḥushai said to Aḇshalom, “No, I am for the one whom יהוה and this people and all the men of
Yisra’ĕl have chosen, and with him I remain. (2Sa 16:19)  “And besides, whom should I serve? Should it not
be before his son? As I have served before your father, so I am before you.” (2Sa 16:20)  And Aḇshalom said
to Aḥithophel, “Give your advice. What should we do?” (2Sa 16:21)

And Aḥithophel said to Aḇshalom, “Go in to your father’s concubines, whom he has left to look after the
house. And all Yisra’ĕl shall hear that you have made yourself a stench to your father. And the hands of all
who are with you shall be strong.” (2Sa 16:22)  So they pitched a tent for Aḇshalom on the top of the house;
and Aḇshalom went in to his father’s concubines before the eyes of all Yisra’ĕl. (2Sa 16:23)  Now the advice
Aḥithophel gave in those days was as if one had inquired at the word of Elohim. So was all the advice of
Aḥithophel both to Dawiḏ and to Aḇshalom. (2Sa 17:1)  And Aḥithophel said to Aḇshalom, “Please let me
choose twelve thousand men, and let me arise and pursue Dawiḏ tonight, (2Sa 17:2) and come upon him
while he is weary and weak. And I shall make him afraid and all the people who are with him shall flee. And I
shall smite the sovereign alone, (2Sa 17:3) and bring back all the people to you. When all return except the
man whom you seek all the people should be at peace.” (2Sa 17:4)  And the saying pleased Aḇshalom and
all the elders of Yisra’ĕl. (2Sa 17:5)  But Aḇshalom said, “Now call Ḥushai the Arkite also, and let us hear
what he says too.” (2Sa 17:6)  And Ḥushai came to Aḇshalom, and Aḇshalom spoke to him, saying,
“Aḥithophel has spoken according to this word. Should we do as he says? If not, speak up.” (2Sa 17:7)  And
Ḥushai said to Aḇshalom, “The advice that Aḥithophel has given is not good at this time.” (2Sa 17:8)  And
Ḥushai said, “You know your father and his men that they are mighty men, and they are as bitter in being as
a bear robbed of her cubs in the field. And your father is a man of battle, and would not spend the night with
the people. (2Sa 17:9)  “See, by now he is hidden in some pit, or in some place. And it shall be, when some
of them fall at the first, that whoever hears it shall say, ‘There has been a slaughter among the people who
are following Aḇshalom.’ (2Sa 17:10)  “And even he who is brave, whose heart is like the heart of a lion,
would utterly melt. For all Yisra’ĕl knows that your father is a mighty man, and those who are with him are
brave men. (2Sa 17:11)

“But I advise: Let all Yisra’ĕl without fail be gathered to you, from Dan to Be’ĕrsheḇa, as numerous as the
sand by the sea, and that you yourself go to battle. (2Sa 17:12)  “And we shall come upon him in some place
where he is found, and fall on him as the dew falls on the ground. And there shall be left of him and of all the
men with him not even one. (2Sa 17:13)  “And if he withdraws into a city, then all Yisra’ĕl shall bring ropes to
that city. And we shall pull it into the wadi, until there is not one small stone found there.” (2Sa 17:14)
Aḇshalom and all the men of Yisra’ĕl then said, “The advice of Ḥushai the Arkite is better than the advice of
Aḥithophel.” For יהוה had ordained to nullify the good advice of Aḥithophel, for the sake of יהוה bringing evil
upon Aḇshalom. (2Sa 17:15)  Ḥushai then said to Tsaḏoq and to Eḇyathar the priests, “Aḥithophel has
advised Aḇshalom and the elders of Yisra’ĕl such and such, but I have advised so and so. (2Sa 17:16)  “And
now, send hastily and inform Dawiḏ, saying, ‘Do not spend this night in the desert plains of the wilderness,
but pass over without fail, lest the sovereign and all the people with him be swallowed up.’ ” (2Sa 17:17) And
Yehonathan and Aḥimaʽats were stationed at Ěn Roḡĕl, and a female servant would come and inform them,
and they would go and inform Sovereign Dawiḏ, for they could not be seen entering the city. (2Sa 17:18)  But
a youth saw them, and informed Aḇshalom. So the two of them went away at once and came to a man’s
house in Baḥurim, who had a well in his courtyard, and they went down into it. (2Sa 17:19)  And the woman
took and spread a covering over the well’s mouth, and spread ground grain on it, so the matter was not
known. (2Sa 17:20)  And the servants of Aḇshalom came to the woman at the house and said, “Where are
Aḥimaʽats and Yehonathan?”

And the woman said to them, “They have passed over the stream of water.” And they looked and did not find
them, and returned to Yerushalayim. (2Sa 17:21)  And it came to be, after they had left, that they came up out
of the well and went and informed Sovereign Dawiḏ, and said to Dawiḏ, “Arise and pass over the water
quickly. For thus Aḥithophel has advised against you.” (2Sa 17:22)  And Dawiḏ and all the people who were
with him rose up and passed over the Yardĕn. And by morning light not even one remained who had not
gone over the Yardĕn. (2Sa 17:23)  And Aḥithophel saw that his advice was not followed, so he saddled his
donkey, and rose up and went home to his house, to his city. Then he gave charge to his house,
and hanged himself, and died. And he was buried in his father’s tomb. (2Sa 17:24)  And Dawiḏ came to
Maḥanayim. And Aḇshalom passed over the Yardĕn, he and all the men of Yisra’ĕl with him. (2Sa 17:25)
And Aḇshalom appointed Amasa over the army instead of Yo’aḇ. Now Amasa was the son of a man whose
name was Yithra, a Yisra’ĕlite, who had gone in to Aḇiḡayil the daughter of Naḥash, sister of Tseruyah, Yo’
aḇ’s mother. (2Sa 17:26)  And Yisra’ĕl and Aḇshalom encamped in the land of Gilʽaḏ. (2Sa 17:27)  And it
came to be, when Dawiḏ had come to Maḥanayim, that Shoḇi son of Naḥash from Rabbah of the children of
Ammon, and Maḵir son of Ammi’ĕl from Lo Ḏeḇar, and Barzillai the Gilʽaḏite from Roḡelim, (2Sa 17:28)
brought beds and basins, and earthen vessels and wheat, and barley and flour, and roasted grain and
beans, and lentils, and parched vegetables, (2Sa 17:29)  and honey and curds, and sheep and cheese of
the herd, for Dawiḏ and the people who were with him to eat. For they said, “The people are hungry and
weary and thirsty in the wilderness.”

Loved One, maybe you have or have not noticed; food shortages are becoming a reality. Prices must go up-
even skyrocket! (Joel 1:14)  Set apart a fast. Call an assembly, gather the elders, all the inhabitants of the
land, into the House of יהוה your Elohim, and cry out to יהוה.(Joel 1:15)  Alas for The Day! The Day of יהוה is
near, and it comes as destruction from the Almighty. (Joel 1:16)  Is not the food cut off before our eyes, joy
and gladness from the House of our Elohim? (Joel 1:17)  The seed has rotted under their clods,
storehouses are laid waste, granaries are broken down, for the grain has withered. (Joel 1:18)  How the
beasts moan! The herds of cattle are restless, because they have no pasture. The flocks of sheep also
perish. (Joel 1:19)  I cry to you יהוה, for fire has consumed the pastures of the wilderness, and a flame has
set on fire all the trees of the field. (Joel 1:20)  Even the beasts of the field cry out to you, for the water
streams are dried up, and fire has consumed the pastures of the wilderness.

This oil (spill?) will kill parts of the ocean in addition to the genetic altering of seeds by Monsanto and others
that destroys the blessing of YHWH who appointed reproduction of the seed. Please consider getting your
house in order concerning survivability and sustainability. Do you have seed that will reproduce? Do you
have a place of refuge away from cities and harm’s way? Have you aligned yourself with like minded
believers that serve YHWH and are willing to help one another? Do you have water supply (filters etc)? Do
you have a supply of power or know how to survive without it?

I recently looked at Mike Clayton’s survival website and it is by far the most excellent I have seen. Mike is a
fellow Torah teacher and I enjoy his teachings. His survival website is www.torahislife.org and do remember
our weekly Torah Study which is located at www.shabbatshalomlovedone.blogspot.com, and of course
please share our regular site www.seedtime2harvest.com and look at our special. Especially get the twin
pack DVD for these days approaching and don’t forget to have friends and family sign up there for
our weekly Study! Or you may wish to forward them a study and perhaps they will email me and join with us,
as many of you have done this.

May YHWH prepare you as a refuge for many in the Day of Jacob’s Trouble. May He also prepare a refuge for
you as you make yourself ready as our Messiah’s bride-in-waiting!

Shalom to your home loved one,
Thurston
